Three Tune Tuesday - Everlasting Songs
Hello, music lovers! π΅ πΆ
On #threetunestuesday, I reflect on the music I listened to growing up and the music I had access to. It's been quite some time since my last post, so it's only right that I reflect on and revisit some aspects of my youth.
Well, not that much, just 14 days :)
The title may be too ambitious, but early in the morning, I fell into a kind of romanticism and nostalgia for the old days, when there was less music and we took the time to listen to it. I'm not talking about symphonic or progressive rock, but pop songs (for me, to explain, pop songs are all about melody and catchiness) that are part of the rich treasure of musical eternity and remain etched in your memory forever.
I'm not revealing anything new; all this has already been written and sung about long ago, and I'm sure that all of you who love music, well, not all of you, but most of you, know these songs.
Of course, this is open to debate. It is only a subjective view.
For those of you who are not (yet) familiar with #threetunetuesday or #ttt - these are tags you need to set when you post.
It's a music initiative started by @ablaze, and with his words, the jist is as follows:
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs that I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the reward.
Continuing the thought from the beginning, here are some songs that I find wonderful and the peak of pop and rock music as such.
They talk about love, of course, what else?
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
The band Mazzy Star was formed in 1990 from the band Opal, when the singer left and a new one joined, and they changed their name. Unfortunately, the band was unlucky, and all of its members are now dead except for the singer Hope Sandoval. The song Fade Into You is from their second album, So Tonight That I Might See, released in 1993. I think it's fantastic.
The Police - Every Breath You Take
Who doesn't know The Police and one of their greatest hits?
PROCOL HARUM - A Whiter Shade Of Pale
Procol Harum is an English band from Essex that was active between 1967 and 1977. They are described as psychedelic with influences from blues and art rock. Their biggest hit was the debut single, A Whiter Shade Of Pale, which immediately catapulted them to the top of all the music charts.
As a bonus, one spiritual, we could even say religious, which you are also familiar with.
George Harrison - My Sweet Lord
That's all for today, thank you for your attention.
This is my 77th post for #threetunetuesday, which @ablaze started.
I hope what I'm sharing is enjoyable for others, too, because then it makes sense.

Mazzy Star! I did think recently about getting more of her tunes into my life.
She is underrated. Great artist, nothing skin-deep and false.
Happy #ttt
Thank you! The previous band, Opal, but with a different singer, was also good.

I'm glad you like it.
Hmm
Impressive selections, I must say I love them all! Mazzy Star is awesome but it's been a long while since I've heard them. The Police, what else can you say? What a great band and song. Procol Harum I haven't heard in decades, I think I almost forgot they existed, thanks for sharing that one. And George Harrison, he really blossomed after the Beatles split. Such a shame brain cancer took him too soon!
Thank you. I could easily find a few dozen more songs that deserve to be mentioned, but let's take it slowly, three or four at a time :)
