Good one! Is it possible to embed the code so it plays directly from the webpage?

It plays directly on the page on Blocktunes! Come listen to it on the platform that it was built to run on!

Yes, I know I listened there. But I'm asking for sharing on other platforms...

The defeats the purpose of brining people to the Blocktunes platform... What's the point of building all of this if it's just going to be an extension of Peakd or Ecency? Standard posts travel across front ends, but the minted music, streaming, tools, and the Bars microblogging is all on our platform only.

The best I would do is an embed preview or something. There are blockchain mechanics for the streaming service where the user needs to be logged in to the platform for the stream to work right.

It's ok, but I see BlockTunes mostly as an audio mastering platform with all those tools. And with sharing, I don't mean just Hive front-ends.

There are share options that let you copy the text and post whereever you want. You can post to X as well directly from the share modal. I can look at doing a preview embed for outside sites, but as I added to my last comment that you might have missed, there are blockchain mechanics on why the full song has to be played on Blocktunes for the artists and master holders to get the streaming credit.

So, just like on Spotify, if you have an embed code that only lets you play 30 seconds...
Well, I just wanted to say one thing—and don’t get me wrong—but to achieve a certain level of visibility on Web 2.0 social networks, you have to have absolutely everything set up correctly and share everything intensively (some might say you’re spamming), and only then will you get some visitors, even if you’re offering rewards for listening. But the worst part is that right now (lately), crypto has a very bad reputation.
That said, I support the platform and sincerely hope it succeeds. I’ll definitely try my hand at some mastering, especially to improve the video recordings of live performances that I regularly record.

yeah, that's why I am focused on the platform being right before I really start promoting it majorly beyond Hive. I've needed a few people to come in and play with it to find things that I may have missed or looked over, so just working on tightening things up.

And on Web2 platforms, I agree, it's like screaming into a void no matter what you do. Been trying for years. Honestly you aren't going to do anything without a big budget to pay for post promotion, and then that's even getting completely over saturated. I am actually looking at going old school grass roots with it. Getting out, listening to music, rubbing elbows with artists, etc. And I encourage others to do the same.

Marketing is the next hurtle, for now, just trying to get the platform right.

Oh I know, and it was a complete pain in the butt to get it done too. They have recently changed the entire backend of the platform so all the old embed stuff didn't work. I don't even like the way this works really. But is what it is.

I understand your point. All I am saying it's not as easy as you might think to get it done properly. I also have other things that need to be done first. But thank you for your feedback.

Oh, I know very well that it's not easy, but it's also true that things are constantly changing as they evolve—not just with 3spk but on all Hive front ends; nothing works perfectly anywhere, especially with this short content apps.

Yeah, the condensors are a nightmare to work with. The biggest problem is the public RPC nodes for the most part. I wish I had the machine to be able to do it, but best I can do is a cache proxy, but that is still subject to the main nodes. But this is still the best chain for what I am building. Nothing else would work properly and have the social features built in. Gas fees alone would break me on the streaming payments, or they would have to be a monthly airdrop kind of thing using a smart contract, which is more of a pain than dealing with Hive. Trust me... I tried that path too, lol.
