New Tunes 27.6.2025
Hello music friends! 🎶
It's a hot Friday and deep summer here. Summer days, relaxation on the beach with beer in hand, and listening to #newtunes, a fresh music selection! Awesome! 🍻
Eight songs of different genres. Well-known and lesser-known musicians with new songs are here, and you can support them just by listening! You'll dig deeper if something interests you.
If you don't like something, skip it.

The Trouble Notes - Sands of Time (Live in Joshua Tree)
I'll start with The Trouble Notes, a Berlin-based trio with roots in Germany, the United States, and Australia. They began in 2013 with a path to their cultural universe, a blend of various influences from bard folk, progressive rock, and dance vibes. I already mentioned them here a few times.
Not only because they are Hiveans, @thetroublenotes, but also because they are always surprised by something new.
Sands of Time, the song they released a few days ago, is a great world music story, led by a violin, with sounds of desert, classical, Balkan, klezmer, and probably more.
You can support them not only by listening but also by downloading their music on Bandcamp.
They are currently touring in the States, and if you have a chance, check them out!
Cass McCombs - Peace
Cass McCombs is an American singer-songwriter who has been performing since 2002 and has released 11 albums. He fluctuates between folk and rock music and keeps on going.
The song "Peace" serves as the single and trailer for his new album, Interior Live Oak, which will be released in August and will offer a cross-section of his entire career.
Jack White – Archbishop Harold Holmes
I haven't mentioned the American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Jack White in a while. Still, two weeks ago, he presented the video for the song "Archbishop Harold Holmes" from last year's "No Name" album. White is known for making fun of or criticizing something he doesn't like, and this time, it's spiritual leaders and religious charlatans who are anything but what they are. John C. Reilly played the part perfectly.
The Hives - Paint A Picture
The Hives, a Swedish band from Fagerst, has been on the music scene for over 30 years. They have been steadily expanding their version of garage rock and punk. There is nothing to distract them along the way, even if we are only talking about three chords, which have become more and more subtle and superbly produced over the years.
They've released six albums to date, and the song "Paint A Picture" is a teaser for their upcoming album, "The Hives Forever Forever the Hives," which will be released in August.
Pure rock 'n' roll, garage, and punk. A top refreshment in these hot days.
Bar Italia - Cowbella
Bar Italia is a British indie rock band from London. In 2019, they released many singles and four albums. In 2022, they were recognized as rising stars to watch by music reviewers. I've been following the band for the last few years.
Song Cowbella was released as a new single 10 days ago. It's in their new style, somewhere between the Jesus and Mary Chain and Dandy Warhols, if you ask me. It's pretty cool and chill.
TROBECOVE KRUŠNE PEĆI - Đavo je bio vruć
Trobecove Krušne Peći is a Croatian avant-garde post-punk and no-wave band from Zagreb that I've been following for years. I even recorded their concert six years ago, but then they just disappeared. It happens, especially with those who can't live on music and then do something else.
Well, three weeks ago, a surprise: a new album, Radost (in English, The Joy). Some of the songs are from the old concert repertoire, but the sound is still brilliant, the musicians are top-notch, and the lyrics are from your deepest nightmares.
By the way, the name of the band (Trobec's Bread Ovens in English) is taken from a Slovenian serial killer who killed six women and then burned them in a bread oven...
The song "Đavo je bio vruć" (The Devil Was Hot) alludes to the dark passions and negative energy that have been prevailing everywhere lately through dark humor.
Turnstile - Never Enough
Turnstile is an American hardcore band from Baltimore, USA, formed in 2010, with five EPs and five albums released to date. With each one, they have moved more towards the middle, towards punchy, melodic, and energetic rock.
The song Never Enough is a single from their latest album of the same name, which they released in April.
Lemmy Kilmister - Full Movie HD
And finally, for music lovers, if you may not know about it, another documentary about the heavy metal legend, Motörhead frontman, the late Lemmy Kilmister.
He was a very simple man who, to put it simply, lived for music, beer, and fun :)
🎶That's all for today, and enjoy your weekend with new songs!
