Mart - Improvisation
Mart is a group from Vipava Valley, Slovenia. They have been around since 2005 and have released several EPs and albums. Their music outlines moments of experiencing, feeling and thinking, captured through improvisation during musical gatherings.
A great rhythm section is the right background to paint with guitar and piano melodies.
Mart is neither jazz, nor rock, nor punk, but a little bit of everything, free improvisation without set boundaries.
This is the last song from their performance at Zmaj Ma Mlade (in English The Dragon Has Young) festival, Postojna, 9.9.2023.

It is so cool
They are good, yes. But they haven't recorded this song yet, as far as I've listened to their albums. Maybe on the next album.
This improvisation has a certain lack of spontaneity. Perhaps it is also difficult because the bass player is calmly staying true to his "boot".
But - these guys are anything but musical duds! They know how it works. The dialogue between the keyboarder and the guitarist has something!

btw: this is my first shot with my new Pixel phone, I didn't know how to set the light properly yet. But the sound is good.
I really like this approach in music. By mixing the various music genres, and by experimenting, maybe they (or another band) will create something new. An entirely new music genre.
I see this mixing quite a lot with new groups. Well, they used to call it fusion.
