Jimmy Barka Experience - One Track Minded

Jimmy Barka Experience is a project by three veterans of the Slovenian music scene, with which they try to avoid all the pitfalls of the expectations of the established DJ-musician pairings and thus move away from the rather linear idea of instrumentation on a DJ's base.

They prefer to approach music-making as a combo, as a structure of equal roles and tasks. The result is a collage of diverse music from funk, breaks, afro to Balkan expressions and rock. In the end, we end up with a hectic mix and a wild but controlled ride from Peru to Baku.

The recording is part of a performance at MKNŽ, an underground rock club, Slovenia, 8.12.2023.
