Hello community, this fantastic initiative reaches its third week, with a spectacular theme: Fidelity.

Fidelity is always being there for the other, never betraying one another. The Only One who is totally faithful is our Lord: faithful to His Word, faithful to His promises.
The great men of God have had the intense desire in their hearts to remain faithful to Him but "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." The comment that Saint Francis of Assisi made when someone referred to him as someone good is famous: "Do not beatify me while I am alive, because I can still leave children scattered around there."

Even King David, a man "after God's own heart" fell from God's grace by committing adultery and being the promoter of a homicide during that whole story with Bathsheba.

John the Baptist, even being filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother's womb, still publicly recognizing that Jesus was the Christ, the Lamb of God because it was revealed to him by the Father upon being captured and knowing that He was condemned to death, he weakened and sent his disciples to ask the Lord if it was He who was going to come and if they should wait for another.

The song that I bring you for this week is titled "Until the madness" and expresses the feeling of the believer who wants to love God to the extreme, give himself to Him without reservation and maintain that orientation of life always, faithfully, until the end.

I didn't know this song. Last year we were invited to a spiritual retreat of the charismatic renewal in Maracay. A large number of people came from our church, I couldn't go for work reasons.
One of the sisters who went told me that they had sung a song there that was "too beautiful" titled "Hasta la lunacy." My Internet access was very limited at that time, but I had the support of @eduardmartinez who had not yet moved to Caracas. He found the song on YouTube, I found the chords for the accompaniment and we dedicated ourselves to preparing it for the next rehearsal of "Shalom" (our church choir). This song has been a great blessing for us and for the rest of the community, I hope it will be for you too.

La fidelidad es ese estar siempre para el otro, no traicionarse nunca. El Único totalmente fiel es nuestro Señor: fiel a Su Palabra, fiel a sus promesas.

Los grandes hombres de Dios han tenido el deseo intenso en su corazón de mantenerse fieles a Él pero "el espíritu, a la verdad, está dispuesto, más la carne es débil". Es célebre el comentario que hiciera San Francisco de Asís cuando alguien se refirió a él como alguien bueno: "No me beatifiquen en vida, que yo aún puedo dejar hijos regados por allí"

Aún el Rey David, un hombre "según el corazón de Dios" cayó de la gracia de Dios cometiendo adulterio y siendo el promotor de un homicidio cuando toda aquella historia con Betsabé.

Juan el Bautista, aún siendo lleno del Espíritu Santo desde el vientre de su madre, aún reconociendo publicamente que Jesús era el Cristo, el Cordero de Dios por haberle sido revelado por el Padre al quedar apresado y saber que estaba condenado a muerte se debilitó y mandó a sus discípulos a preguntar al Señor si era Él quien iba a venir y si debían esperar a otro.
La negación de Pedro. Tantos episodios de la vida de auténticos hombres de Dios que no pudieron mantenerse fieles siempre - a pesar de desearlo de corazón - nos muestra que la fidelidad de Dios es eterna y cierta, mientras que la del hombre hacia Él es un deseo que nace del amor y la gratitud, pero es siempre vulnerable.

El canto que les traigo para esta semana se titula "Hasta la locura" y expresa el sentimiento del creyente que desea amar a Dios hasta el extremo, entregarse a Él sin reservas y mantener esa orientación de vida siempre, fielmente, hasta el final.

Es un "Señor Tú eres fiel, Señor, yo quieroserte fiel.

Este canto no lo conocía. El año pasado nos invitaron a un retiro espiritual de la renovación carismática en Maracay. De nuestra iglesia fue un gran número de personas, yo no pude ir por motivos de trabajo.

Una de las hermanas que fue me comentó que allá habían entonado un canto "demasiado bello" titulado "Hasta la locura". Mi acceso a Internet era muy limitado para ese entonces, pero contaba con el apoyo de @eduardmartinez quien aún no se había mudado a Caracas. El consiguió el canto en Youtube, le busqué los acordes para el acompañamiento y nos dedicamos a prepararlo en el siguiente ensayo de "Shalom" (el coro de nuestra iglesia). Este canto ha sido de gran bendición para nosotros y para el resto de la comunidad, espero que también lo sea para ustedes.
