Hoy les traigo una canción "viejita", como dice el refrán : "vieja, vieja, vieja, pero buena, buena, buena". Se trata de "All My Lovin' ", tema grabado el 30 de julio de 1963 por la inolvidable agrupación británica "The Beatles" en su álbum "With the Beatles" (Con Los Beatles).

Today I bring you an "oldie" song, as the saying goes: "old, old, old, but good, good, good." It's "All My Lovin'," a song recorded on July 30, 1963, by the unforgettable British group "The Beatles" on their album "With the Beatles."

Es una canción romántica, una despedida, unida a la promesa de escribir a diario a casa durante el tiempo de separación.

Por supuesto, en aquella época "escribir a diario" se refería a escribir cartas de puño y letra para enviarlas vía marítima (por barcos) o vía aérea (por avión, un poco más caras pero más rápidas) y venía el tiempo de espera a que la carta llegara y fuera respondida posteriormente.

Of course, in those days "writing daily" meant writing letters by hand to send them by sea (by ships) or by air (by plane, a little more expensive but faster) and then there was the waiting time for the letter to arrive and be answered later.

Para mí, aparte de la melodía, ritmo y letra de la canción, me gustan los recuerdos que me trae consigo. Tenía en esa época apenas unos 4 años y tuve la oportunidad de pasar mi infancia rodeada de esa música incomparable de los Beatles.

For me, aside from the melody, rhythm, and lyrics of the song, I love the memories it brings back. I was only about four years old at the time, and I had the opportunity to spend my childhood surrounded by the incomparable music of the Beatles.

En casa de mi abuela se compraron todos sus discos, son faltar uno. Recuerdo que para mí ellos eran "el chino" (John Lennon), "el bonito" (Paul McCartney), "el vecino" (George Harrison) - que no recuerdo por qué lo llamaba así y "mi favorito" (Ringo Starr) porque "me encantaba su nariz"

At my grandmother's house, they bought all of their records, not a single one missing. I remember that for me they were "the Chinese guy" (John Lennon), "the pretty one" (Paul McCartney), "the neighbor" (George Harrison) - I don't remember why I called him that, and "my favorite" (Ringo Starr) because "I loved his nose."
