Buenos días, buenas tardes y buenas noches, comunidad de @musiczone. Estamos en la semana 182 de Hive Music Festival en su ronda 2.

El numero 182 nos habla de un período de tiempo de tres años y medio en los cuales, en forma ininterrumpida, @musiczone ha brindado un gran apoyo a todos los músicos de nuestra blockchain Hive.blog. Nuestros votos son para que este maravilloso espacio virtual para la difusión de la música en vivo se mantenga durante mucho tiempo activo con la Gracias de Dios, supremo Creador de la música.

Esta semana deseo participar con un tema romántico popularizado en el año 1967 en Venezuela por la banda Los 007, agrupación musical que para la fecha llevaba solo un año de fundada en la ciudad capital de Caracas.

Su “especialidad” fue la de tomar éxitos de la música pop anglosajona – o de temas que prometían ser éxitos - , y hacerles una versión al castellano. Su primer tema grabado se convirtió en todo un éxito que llega hasta nuestros días como una de esas canciones que “nunca han pasado de moda”, “El último beso” su versión de “Last Kiss” de Eddie Cochran.

En el caso de la canción que les traigo hoy, “Detén la noche” la misma fue la versión de “Retiene La Nuit” del cantante y compositor francés Charles Aznavour (1924 – 2018).

This week I want to participate with a romantic song popularized in 1967 in Venezuela by the band Los 007, a musical group that had only been founded for a year in the capital city of Caracas.

Its “specialty” was taking Anglo-Saxon pop music hits – or songs that promised to be hits – and making a Spanish version of them. Its first recorded song became a success that survives to this day as one of those songs that “have never gone out of style,” “El Último Beso,” its version of “Last Kiss” by Eddie Cochran.

In the case of the song that I bring you today, “Detén la noche” it was the version of “Retiene La Nuit” by the French singer and composer Charles Aznavour (1924 – 2018).

En esos momentos el movimiento musical juvenil en Caracas estaba liderizado por el grupo Los Darts, ya había pasado el “momento de gloria” del grupo “Los Supersònicos”, se mantenía aùn el grupo “Los Impala”, pero estos aunque tocaban muy bien, tenìan en su contra que, según las chicas de la época, “no eran buenmozos”.

Los 007 no lograron superar a Los Darts en las preferencias del público pero se mantuvieron muy cerquita de sus estadísticas como los rivales más cercanos en cuanto a popularidad se refería.

Ambos grupos, “Los Darts” y “Los 007” marcaron una época.
“Detén la noche” es una canción con una letra bastante sencilla pero fuertemente emotiva, su melodía es muy agradable, es de esas melodías que provoca escuchar una y otra vez proceso que si se cumple no llega a cansar.

La combinación de acordes acompañantes , en mi caso que la interpreté en La Mayor es A – F# m – D – E7 , es decir “casi” el círculo armónico de A, sólo que en lugar de Bm se toca D, acorde que desaparece en dos rondas de la parte final y que aparece nuevamente como adorno ya al concluir y entonces se hace la combinación D – Dm – AM7. En la parte rítmica nos encontramos con un compás de cuatro tiempos.

“Detén la noche” is a song with quite simple but strongly emotional lyrics, its melody is very pleasant, it is one of those melodies that makes you listen to it over and over again, a process that if you do it doesn't get tiring.

The combination of accompanying chords, in my case that I played in A Major, is A – F# m – D – E7, that is, “almost” the harmonic circle of A, only that instead of Bm, D is played, a chord that disappears in two rounds of the final part and that appears again as an ornament at the end and then the combination D – Dm – AM7 is made. In the rhythmic part we find a four-beat time signature.
