I Would Always Pick the Guitar 🎸

Music has been an irreplaceable part of my life. Not only that it influence my fashion sense, it also tells to what types of people I should engage and associate with because of the hobby that we both enjoy, listening to any songs that falls under the rock and metal genre. If you have read this post, it would pretty much tells you how I dressed my self and why its incredibly hard for me to gather image for reference during that time.

At some point, we even think of forming a band and have gone to rent a studio in order to practice playing instruments as they also lend the instruments which is the most thing we can do as teenagers since we do not have the money to but the instruments. But that also puts a toll on us for renting also cost some money and cannot sustain it anymore while seeing the slow progress that we have due to the limited time we have so eventually, we stop doing it and instead use it to go to band concerts. During that time, I was playing the guitar for the band so if I would be a member of a band this time, I would pick to be the a guitarist again.

If you would ask how I came up with this choice, it roots itself to my hobby for gaming. During the playStation 2/Xbox 360 era was the time where the games Guitar Hero and Rock Band rise in their popularity. They were both music rhythm video games that can be played using game consoles or guitar- shaped controllers that simulates playing the guitar across numerous types of songs. This has introduced me to a lot of different bands, many of them formed even before I was even born. As a gamer and a music lover, this holds a special place in my heart and was the main reason why I got the interest on playing guitar. I even made threetunetuesday post about it previously.

Also, the band responsibilities comes into consideration when choosing the choice of instrument. To be the singer, one does not only need to have a voice but also have to be charismatic, in order to pull some fans, things that I know I do not have. At most, I can provide back- up voice with some screams and growls but that would be all into it. On the other hand, being a bassist was pretty much underrated since it mainly produces the low notes of the song. I would say that being a drummer was my second choice because it was also cool and was responsible for keeping the beat and rhythm but at the same time, they were mostly at the back and got less exposure.

So I ended up choosing the guitarist given that it produce the melody of the songs and got more exposure than other roles but not overshadowing the singer which is the front of the band.

To be a member of a band was one of my dreams. I even briefly mentioned this at the end of this post on what I would change in case I have a chance for a second life. It would also be nice if I can make a living by doing my hobby and be with the people sharing the same community.

So yeah. if that time comes, I would pick the guitar to express myself to the world.
