Band Collaborations: Part IV (TTT)

Hello to all my fellow music lovers! It's been a long time since I last made a #ttt post with so much stuff going on with life and with me frequenting the times I go to the gym but my love for music was still the same if not more and my desire for others to also hear it. Anyways, I will be sharing my three songs for three tune tuesday hosted by ablaze with the part 4 of my band collections featuring some recent colabs that took place this year.

a bulleT w/ my namE On- Bring me the Horizon ft. Underoath

Crazy times we had here with Bring Me the Horizon and Underoath, two of the bands that made a name during the 200's Myspace scene, making a song together. This song, while just recently released for me has very reminiscent of the 2000's screamo/ post- hardcore era. The back and forth between screaming and then there was the Alexis on Fire post hard core leads, so nostalgic but at the same time, got an Anime song vibe on it. The song also holds a very deep message as it was about betrayal and losing faith in humanity with the phrase "I'm sorry, did my back hurt your knife?" which really got me.

Ronald- Falling In Reverse ft. Tech N9e & Alex Terrible

I think this is the first time that I will feature Falling in Reverse even when they were one of the biggest rock bands today, also a bit controversial with its front Ronnie Radke, who was previously a member of Escape the Fate. Anyways, for this song, they collaborate with Alex Terrible (2:51) from Slaughter to Prevail, a Russian Death Core band that it also spreading its name wide and the rapper Tech N9e (1:44) so there were rap parts on this song but if you know Falling in Reverse, rap is something that they have integrated in many of their songs, directly from Ronnie's mouth though on this song, he decided to go full metal. This song talks about the harsh realities that we face as we grow up and Regardless of how you feel about this band or song, there are interesting stuff here like the synching of rums with machine gun on 1:16 and its CGI was really good that those hundred million movies should be ashamed of.

Ratatata - Baby Metal ft. Electric Callboy

Saving for the last, was Ratatata by the Japanese Band baby Metal that falls in collaboration with German band Electronic Callboy which was 100 times better than the last time that Japan and Germany got together (if you know what I mean😉) and if anything else, was a really fun and enjoyable song to listen, something that even my late grandma can listen to and would have no problem. There was this groovy sound with cute girls dancing but it perfectly harmonize with the heavy screaming. Super dancey, synth driven, cheesy catchy chorus, great call and response. If anything, Electric Callboy really had a lot of influence on this one.

Bonus: Don't Listen To My Voicemail- Your Broken Hero ft. Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan

Since I'm gone for a while, let me add another song with Don't Listen for My Voicemail from Your Broken Hero, a band lead by Matt Cutshall, known for his "felt emo might delete" videos which made parodies of old emo songs and for this song he collaborated with Pierre of Simple Plan which also joins some of "felt emo might delete" videos. This song tells about an accidental confession made through a series of voicemails. It also shows you a rare occurrence of emo Spiderman which I think was takes refence from the song Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional which is the official Soundtrack for Spiderman 2.

And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. This was a project initiated by @ablaze where everyone was free to share their favorite music every Tuesday. Thank you very much if you made it till the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.

See you until next time!
