Also, the Season of Hope

In just a few days, Christmas will be coming once again but even before the Christmas day, we can already feel the holiday vibes with the Christmas lights and decorations on the streets or malls and if you lived on the Philippines, you will start to see this things as soon as the 1^st day of September starts. Same for the Christmas songs that are played everywhere specially on the malls while some would form a group and go house to house to sing a Christmas carol to share the holiday spirit to people through music. Speaking of Christmas songs, one of my favorites I should say was the song "Christmas Lights" by Coldplay.

It's not the type of song that people would usually hear on malls and there were a lot of songs that can better spread the holiday spirit to people more than this song but if people have been following me, they would knows that I mostly listen on music that falls on Rock category by just looking at my #threetunetuesday post which for this month, I have made 3 post this month sharing different Christmas songs that falls onto the Rock category and this is one of them.

It's not your typical Christmas song that is full of joy and energy but instead got a sad melody on it, starting with those piano solo at the intro and where the lyrics goes as to say that the guy have a fight with her partner which causes them to break up just when Christmas was coming. And with here partner gone, he can't really feel that its Christmas at all.

Got all kinds of poison in

I took my feet, to Oxford Street
Tryna right a wrong
Just walk away, those windows say
But I can't believe she's gone

But when he goes out, he saw the Christmas lights shining bright on the streets and upon looking on it, he became hopeful that maybe if her partner would also see some Christmas lights, she would realize that it was Christmas already and will have their relationship fixed.

Life always have its problems and Christmas is not always a happy time for everyone. Despite the jolly atmosphere that this season brings, there will always be people that would be dealing with problems in life. Some gets to have a break- up just like the guy in the song, some people might have no food to put on the table and there are even some that is struggling just to survive. But even when people are in difficult situation, Christmas always brings them the hope that whatever problems they have will be solved and to remain positive despite their situation.
