Since I first heard Protest the Hero's "Sequoia Throne," its technical complexity and explosive energy completely captivated me. This week, I decided to pay tribute with a guitar cover that represents not only my admiration for the band, but also my evolution as a musician.

Every riff, every tempo change, and every melodic phrase was a challenge I took on with passion. I focused on capturing the progressive intensity of the song, respecting its essence while adding my own interpretive touch. It's not just about hitting the right notes, but also about conveying the controlled aggression and dynamism that make this song a progressive metal masterpiece.

Participating in the VIBES Web3 Music Competition has motivated me to continue exploring new forms of musical expression within the Web3 ecosystem, where creativity and community merge in a unique way.

Desde que escuché por primera vez “Sequoia Throne” de Protest the Hero, su complejidad técnica y energía explosiva me atraparon por completo. Esta semana decidí rendirle homenaje con un cover de guitarra que representa no solo mi admiración por la banda, sino también mi evolución como músico.

Cada riff, cada cambio de tempo y cada frase melódica fueron un reto que asumí con pasión. Me enfoqué en capturar la intensidad progresiva del tema, respetando su esencia mientras le daba mi propio toque interpretativo. No se trata solo de tocar las notas correctas, sino de transmitir la agresividad controlada y el dinamismo que hacen de esta canción una obra maestra del metal progresivo.

Participar en el VIBES Web3 Music Competition me ha motivado a seguir explorando nuevas formas de expresión musical dentro del ecosistema Web3, donde la creatividad y la comunidad se fusionan de manera única.

Hi David. Thanks for your comment I really appreciated. This is a song that demands a lot of practice and it was a challenge to me to play it. I used the SUPER DUPER amp sim from ML sound lab. It is a very complete plug in to make good distortions and it include also a delay pedal, a reverb and a noise gate pedal. I really recommended it. Gracias bro, la guitarra es mi compañero desde muy temprana edad, pero tenia tiempo que no tocaba ya que el tiempo no me permite ser constante como en aquel entonces, pero ahi voy poco a poco recuperando mi tecnica, muchas gracias por tu comentario.
