Applaud Me

All I wanted was appraisal at the very least,for the times as a child I cried for you not to be beaten when you were to receive stroke of cain,those lashes on your palm, across your bum, scattered on body like a stick stiring as a pestle pounding left, right,side and centre but I took it, I willing took them for you on my palm instead. So,"applaud me".

When none was there,"applaud me"for being there was no one was. I skipped morning tea and bread for you to breakfast, with a smile on my face mingle with cry my hungry intestine only me could hear but satisfied to see you ate as I fasted for breakfast, drunk with water for lunch and dinner with yarning that hope you met for a friend's satisfaction which is my comfort. Hence,I deserve it 'applaud me'.

Now the distance be far, our faces we do not see as often remember the sacrifices as we can not all be the same, this is fact, I am me, they are themselves so do not compare, when you sir to recall the time

So I covered up your inadequacies before everyone and tell you your faults in secret as I defended you openly but queried you privately being that you were a ready mind to take correction. Though she nags as a show of love do not take it with hurt,do justice to 'applaud me' for understanding your personality.

At the least have sown a seed you will ever turn to remember thankfully we crossed path. Even for the irrelevant moves of positivity, if you did not applaud me then,"applaud me" now.

Remember instances you wore your title rigalia and wake up to see I had done the chores and readied the meal,watered everywhere and heat your bath, only to snob when I call out to you as no one looks at your direction for this maybe you will "applaud me".

There are people in lives that we could give and they with no regard feels is their not knowing it is a privilege until you leave,then they begin to recall the times,the sweet and blood you gave and be haunted by the guilt of having known,they would have lived the life gratitude.
