Interesting Things on My Daily Walk - My Actifit Report Card: May 26 2026

When I woke up, I thanked God for a new day; I got started on the things I had to do before leaving the house: feeding my pets, eating breakfast, taking a shower, and then I headed downtown; thank goodness the bus came quickly. First, I dropped off my brother’s urine sample at a lab—he has a doctor’s appointment on Thursday—and then I went to buy some flip-flops, diapers, and other things I needed for the house.

With my shopping done, I looked for a glassware shop, but the stores that used to offer this service were closed, so I went to pick up a medical report for my mom; I spent three hours walking around running those errands and then went back home to wash up and continue with my day. By noon I was already exhausted, but happy with everything I’d accomplished.

By the way, among the things I saw, a breakfast spot caught my eye: they sold empanadas, coffee, sandwiches, typical breakfast food, and it had an unusual decor that I really liked. I walked by in a hurry and glanced at the wall; after a few meters, my curiosity got the better of me and I turned back. There were the manager and a man having breakfast, so I asked the manager if I could take pictures of the instruments, and she said yes.

I was confused by what I saw and thought they weren’t functional and were just used as decoration, but the woman told me no, that they are instruments that work and are used. Based on the number of strings, the one with the body of a violin is, to me, a cuatro, since it has four strings; next is an electric guitar, and finally, it looks like another cuatro shaped like a classical guitar, but the girl told me it’s a bass. Honestly, I was left like this 🙃: they’re all electric, and I’m not the right person to really say what kind of instruments they are; if you know them, I invite you to share this information in the comments.
