My liver has endured countless injuries throughout my life. "It will be fine," I thought, brushing off the signs. I don't drink because I enjoy alcohol; it's more about numbing the pain. Cleaning wounds becomes routine, even in moments of intoxication. Oh, how I've grown accustomed to it.

Pain and death have become familiar companions in my life. Every tomorrow, I wake up still feeling the effects of alcohol. But today, I've decided, will be the last time I succumb to this numbness. Because I don't love you anymore. Love shouldn't be drowned in a bottle.

I need you now, to alleviate the pain and death that linger in my life. But tomorrow, I'll likely wake up still feeling the effects of alcohol. However, today marks the end of this cycle. Because I don't love you anymore. I refuse to endure this toxic love any longer.

Forgive me for succumbing to drunkenness. And now, I need you desperately. I need you to rescue me from this intoxicated haze, to guide me back to clarity.

I first became acquainted with the singer Nini Khin Zaw through the lyrics of her song, "Even if you lose over and over again, don't give up on what you believe in. Let there be many dangers, let there be thorny roads..." During the SEAP Games in 2013, the Myanmar football team faced a humiliating defeat, but they found solace in Nini Khin Zaw's "A Pair Of Hopes," using it as a source of encouragement. Today, I want to share her self-written and performed song "Drunk."
