Hive music festival week 170 round 2 [ IN CHRIST ALONE (Flute cover) by @sampraise77
Hive music festival week 170 round 2, @sampraise77 is my name and I will do a flute cover of a hymn titled IN CHRIST ALONE.
Let's talk about In Christ Alone, a really awesome modern hymn by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend. Even though it's new, it feels like those classic hymns because it's got depth and really sticks to solid Christian teaching. Basically, it sums up the Christian faith from Jesus being born to his rising from the dead, going up to heaven, and our hope of being with him forever.
The first line, In Christ alone my hope is found, gets right to the point. It says that we find hope, safety, who we are, and being saved only in Jesus. It lines up with the Bible, like in Acts 4:12, which says salvation comes from no one else. The hymn starts strong, saying our faith is built on Jesus.
The first verse talks about when Jesus came to earth Who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe. It's amazing to think about God becoming human! It reminds us Jesus is both God and man, coming to save the world. When it says love and rightness were shown, it means Jesus didn't just tell us how to live, he showed us God's love and rightness.
Then the hymn talks about the cross In Christ alone, who took on flesh… till on that cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.” This is about Jesus taking our punishment for our sins. The cross isn't a sad ending, but a victory of love and fairness. Because Jesus died, sin doesn't have power over us anymore.
The verse about Jesus rising Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again is a big moment in the hymn. It's about Jesus beating death and us having new life because of him. Because Jesus is alive, we don't have to be afraid, and death isn't the end.
The last part switches to us: No guilt in life, no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me. It's saying we're safe and secure. It reminds us that our lives are in Jesus' hands, and nothing can take that away.
Now, imagine all this played on a flute. The flute makes the hymn even more special. Its gentle and clear sound lets the song speak without words, helping us think and worship. It helps us think about what Jesus did. This flute version isn't just music, it's worship asking us to think, pray, and rest knowing that we stand strong in Jesus.
