The love that's real

Love is everything and what the scripture even says about love is that, we should love our neighbors as ourselves. So, going by this biblical saying, love is as important as our breath. In fact, love is life and for us humans to live a worthy life, love should be at the centerpiece of our lives and be inculcated into our day to day life.

I could remember when I was in secondary school. Back then on the assembly ground, our mathematics teacher Mrs Akintade, who was on the assembly duty that day, told us about love. She said we have different kinds of love and that the best kind of love is AGAPE love and throughout that day, the word AGAPE love was on everyone's lips.

Though, she said we have other kinds of love, but AGAPE love supersedes all other kinds. She said the AGAPE love is that kind of love that shows no discrimination and hatred. She also said, it's the kind of love that's expected of everyone.

So, since then, I have always wondered what kind of love is the AGAPE love. But just recently, when I met with my fiance now my wife, the true meaning of the love being preached back then by our teacher really got to me. This is because she showed me how to love even when I have nothing to offer her, she still gave me her all without disrespecting me. She loved me so much and the love she had for me had no bound.

So, according to the song anyway by Johnny Drille and Don Jazzy, the message of the song is quite clear and the message is about love. Even with all the shortcomings being mentioned by the singers in the song, the sound of I will love you anyway was the response to the shortcomings.

So, what this is telling us is that, no matter weaknesses or shortcomings, we should let love prevail whatever the case may be. Love is life and everything.
