My #threetunetuesday share for the idea started by @ablaze. We return to the subgenre dream pop, and on to part number five of the series. AS always, we start with dream pop piece of art (as above), and on to a starter by Beach House (as below). So let's dive in to...dive...

Beach House : Dive

This is a bit of a change of pace if you've been keeping up with these. This Beach House song sounds like a classic Spacemen 3 track, and for those who might not know the Spacemen...well, they are sort of the godfathers of Dream Pop and Shoegaze. The Farfisa organ grinds out that classic two-chord drone sound that permeates a lot of the Spacemen. Yet hang on there, if you are getting bored. The group decides to mix it up with some New Order-inspired chops right around 2:18. Enjoy that video too; I tried watching it after a few IPAs last weekend and, and that was fun.

Atlas Sound : Walkabout

The mix of Deerhunter and Panda Bear? Yes please! I shared a few tracks from Panda Bear and Sonic Boom's recent album a bit ago, but this one goes back a few more years to Bradford's solo outfit Atlas Sound. It's a mix of distortion, sound and Beach Boy harmonies, with the dream pop flying in the background. A hidden gem from years ago (as are most Atlas Sound songs).

Asobu Seksu : Thursday

Apologies if I shared this one before...I might have. Still, it's a song worth doubling down on, honestly. If you want to get the true excitement of what dream pop can bring, check out that sound at 1:52...especially with earbuds in or the stereo turned up a bit. This one blends the line with shoegaze, but is not quite as harsh. A favorite of mine, and a band I am almost got to watch in Santa Cruz years ago, but my flight was canceled due to an ice storm.

That's it for this week's #TTT share. I hope you enjoy them all as much as I do. Until next week!
