Three Tune Tuesday : Dream Pop Sessions, pt III
My share for @ablaze 's #threetunetuesday. We head back in with a third round of dream pop sounds...to keep the streak alive. Hopefully, some of these tracks I have shared have resonated with you; if not, keep listening and something will stick. I hope that's the case, however! So let's get on with it...
Beach House : Lemon Glow

Why not keep this streak alive too? Let's start this week with another Beach House track. This song is called Lemon Glow and is bit more sinister than the previous tracks I've shared. The song was released in 2018, and to me sounds like it lifted (lovingly, I'm sure), the backing track of an Astrobrite track. No matter...this one is not quite as dreamy as others and has a lot of random noise. Still, I like listening to this one on the morning commute.
Chromatics : Cherry

Here's one I have never heard of until late. This carries a sort of 70's dance beat with a dream pop guitar riff and easy bass line. I like the smooth vocals and the dreamy video too...a dream pop gem that, again, I have to thank the daily commute for.
Divv : Bent (Roi's Song)
Source
Last for this week is a Brooklyn, NY band, called Divv. Another new one for me...right off the bat, this guitar sound rings of 90's Chapterhouse and Ride...maybe something else too. The bass line sounds like something off of The White Album,* so maybe there is some Macca in there too. As they (mostly) say, all roads lead back to the Beatles...
I'll be on the hunt for another three to share next! Hopefully of these tracks make your day as they did mine the first time I tuned into them. Until next week, thanks for checking out my #TTT.
