About Work:
I don't often return to reworking my early works, but sometimes the situation simply requires it, because sometimes new modern opportunities and ways to improve something and make it better than what was done when there were no such opportunities appear in our hands. Today, this is exactly the story that is connected with one of my remixes of the soundtrack that was the main musical theme of the most prestigious and main tournament in the cult computer game DOTA 2. I wrote this remix almost a year ago, it was November 2, because I started doing it on November 1 (On my birthday π, so I remember this day well, I remember that I was working on this remix all day with great inspiration and did not notice how my birthday flew by ha-ha). But returning to today, and listening to this remix, I decided to use new music plugins for processing and improving the quality and decided to make an updated version of the remix.
YouTube:
I have already talked about the remix version itself, but I will say a little more here (sorry if I repeat myself). I had to work for quite a long time on what rhythmic pattern I would like to hear in my remix, since the original version of this composition simply does not have it, I had ideas to make completely orchestral drums, and everything was heading in this direction until I came up with the idea to make trap music, since after I added this dense rezz bass to the track, I immediately came up with the idea to do something like what I got, heh, again, I do not exclude the fact that in the future I will completely change this rhythmic pattern and do it differently, I am 50+% sure that this will be the case. But there are things in my remix that will clearly not undergo changes - these are the lines of the heroes and sounds from the Dota 2 game itself, yes, I had to dig into this game content for a very long time, think about which and in what order the lines of the heroes will be added, what sounds, what processing and everything in this row. It was really interesting to create and work in this direction. I had to deal with sound engineering and I always liked it.
What's the result? π
This version turned out more pronounced, more mid-range and high-frequency, maybe I made the bass a little less noticeable but it didn't sag much, maybe there are still questions about the equalization, but for now I would like to bring out this version for the listeners. And I also made an updated video clip for my remix, where would we be without it. π
HUGS! π
