(I Just) Died in Your Arms & Laura Branigan Combo Remix by Paul Infrasonic [SynthWave Retro Remix]

Hello Dear Hivers, Hello Aliens!
👽

Today I want to present to you my remix of vintage songs that are simply bound to give you flashbacks, hehe. Let's go! 🐘

About: 🔊

I am a very big fan of old songs of the 80s and 90s, I remember they were always played on old tape recorders around, be it at a neighbor’s place or in some restaurant or night disco, I also became more deeply imbued with this vintage music thanks to the series great car thief games - Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, remember these legendary radio stations in the game? This music very well reflected the atmosphere of the game and you could drive for days on end and explore the cities, oh how cool it was then when this happens to you for the first time, although now it also evokes very warm emotions and immerses in that carefree early youth. My favorite thing about this music is that it is always very melodic, energetic and this old style of singing, not like now when everything that is sung poorly is quickly corrected with autotune and other modern processing plugins, so the music of those times is a kind of icon for me , and nowadays if you want to do something in this genre, it is much more difficult to do since we are not living through the time in which this music was born and gained its peak of popularity. Still, I find the courage to take on remixes of these vintage hits of a bygone time, for me this music is always relevant even after many years, it only gains a wider range of perception, it’s a thrill for my ears. There is also a saying that all life is cyclical and in the form of a spiral, everything that was fashionable 20 years ago becomes fashionable again, this applies to many things, such as fashion, song technique, architecture and much more, and it should not be different, because such things will never become relics of time. 🖤

This wonderful picture was generated for me by AI Leonardo Diffusion, I think it goes well with the music, don't you? ☂️

What I would like to say about my remix is that everything is simple, I have a lot of vintage music from the last century in my collection, I listen to them often and sometimes ideas come to me to combine these compositions in the most unexpected parts of the track, like this time. And so I took the vocals from the song Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died In Your Arms and lowered them in the chorus by 3 octaves as well as the entire key of the track (apparently that’s why YouTube didn’t put a copyright notice on me, hehe), also I cut out the guitar and moved it, complemented it all with a new rhythm in the style of Disco or so and it turned out very tasty if I may say so, I also cut up the backing vocals from the original and it sounded really very rich and fresh, after that I thought that it would be interesting to try to add here something else from vintage music of those times, and I had a Laura Branigan - Self Control song spinning in my head and now they match in tone since I understated it - I Just by three octaves, and a wonderful miracle - it fit perfectly, I I was pleasantly surprised at how cool these two compositions turned out, unlike the first composition, I didn’t touch the second one, I just made its sound a little VHS, it’s a little blurry and it’s like the film is chewing a little, so this is a trick from me, hehe. The result was such an interesting sketch, I made another such combo remix from the track Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now (Theme From Rocky) remember this masterpiece, right? I don’t want to make a spoiler now about what I mixed it with, but you will like it, I’ll tell you about it in my next post, it will be a very cool combo, I assure you.

Well, that’s all for today, thank you for your attention and for your feedback. I wish you pleasant days and good mood, hugs to everyone! 🖐😉

Oh yes bro, time flies and at the same time stops when you work with music of bygone years because while working you listen many times and generate some ideas in your head, what you can cut and where to move this or that sound, it's a fascinating process. The song Little Lies is super indie music in general, such a cool spacey synth is very peaceful, thank you very much for drawing my attention to this song, I'm sitting and listening to it right now and already in my head are born ideas and thoughts. This track is so indie sounding that I can't stop listening to it on repeat, haha. And apparently right now I'm going to take it apart and spend Sunday night experimenting with it. From the bottom of my heart, bro! Best wishes!
