None of the freeware accounting things meets your requirements?

_{I don't know what's out there now but I know they do exist, I tried out a couple when I had my business a hundred billion years ago but can't remember what I ended up using, and then my mum took over accounting for us for the remainder of the time we were running and she used whatever it is she likes to use}

Doing things as you go sounds like the way to go, one of those slightly more work now for much less work later!
