Glad your wife cut ties with the uni if they were expecting a ridiculous amount of work that they didn't want to compensate appropriately. I mean I don't mind helping out for lower rates but in that case they better not expect everything.

We are getting better and better with the admin, logistics, and publicity stuff... we started from zero, and now people are saying how smoothly everything seems to run for us... of course, they don't see the behind the scenes panics! And then... arts administration tends to be a little on the inefficient side of things at the best of times... so, it might just be a comparative thing.
It definitely gets better and easier as you figure out all your processes :)
Hopefully you won't get as annoyed with it as I did x_x
I don't think it's an arts thing necessarily, we kind of have the same issue for both competitions and end of year displays and we plan the ever living hell out of everything XD
