Rising Star Giveaway - Reward 10000 (+5000) Starbits And Does Singing Help Improve Speaking Abilities?
Hundreds of studies have been conducted on musical activities, and most of them reveal that music activities are very beneficial for human health.
Almost all of us have heard that people who stutter cannot stutter when they sing, and many of us are surprised that they can sing without stuttering. Some may even not believe them.
Dozens of studies show that singing improves speaking abilities. Catherine Y. Wan, Theodor Rüber, Anja Hohmann, and Gottfried Schlaug shared a study in which they reviewed dozens of studies to explore the therapeutic effects of singing in neurological disorders.
They've actually done an excellent research and I recommend checking it out if you have time. And they share links to dozens of studies in their articles. There is really excellent information, but I will not mention all of them, I will briefly mention them, so I recommend you to take a look at their article for more detailed information.
Dozens of studies in the article have found that singing improves speaking ability for people with autism, Parkinson's disease, aphasia following a stroke, and stuttering.
According to research, singing stimulates more than one part of the brain at the same time, which can enable people with an impairment in one part of their brain to communicate using other areas of their brain. Also, singing can prolong the sounds in each word, which can make them easier to pronounce.
These studies clearly show that it is normal for stutterers to be able to sing without stuttering. They also make it clear that singing is beneficial for people with Parkinson's disease, aphasia, and autism. My friend's mother has Aphasia, so I told my friend about these studies and she will try to get her mother to sing, I hope it will be useful to her and I will share the result with you in the future. If you have acquaintances with such diseases in your environment, I recommend that you share these studies with them.

Regarding the topic you are sharing with us, just a few days ago I was watching a report about a singer who was very supportive of the community with difficulties, the artist is named Scatman John, he was a deta and through his music showed that there was no impediment to develop within the musical environment, is a detail that I wanted to share with you I share his music I hope you like it.

I know the story of Scatman John, and he has a really interesting life story. The song is like an anthem, beautiful songs never get old. Good luck.

Children suffering cause autism (and other diseases) can benefit from music therapy. I'm studying similar aspects while attending my scholar psychology postgrad. Classic music is among the best for music therapy. The chorus from Judas Maccabaeus (Händel) is perfect🐣

I am a pretty bad singer. I rarely sing, especially in front of others. I prefer singing inside my own head! But those are interesting studies.
I think it's an interesting topic and I think it would be nice for those people. If singing helps, then it should be used. I'll suggest this to people if I hear about someone who has those diseases.

I believe it will work because dozens of studies say so. I suggested it to my friend, let's see what changes will happen in my friend's mother.

you know in some asian countries, many parents tend to listen to classical music. somehow someone said or at least there is a popular believe that if the mother or the child (putting headphones over the tummy) listens to classical music, they are generally smarter. not sure how true, but there is such thing going on!
To me, music is something that helps me unwind no matter what kind of genre

Speaking helps a lot. I know a couple of people who stutter when talking but can sing perfectly fine.
I agree. I know people who stutter but sing without stuttering. I was amazed how they sang without stuttering, nice to have a scientific explanation for that. Good luck.
Thank you
