A Way to Feel the Music for the Deaf and Have Hearing Loss | Rising Star Giveaway - Reward 10000 (+5000) Starbits

(Edited)

Jay Alan Zimmerman, a deaf composer and musician, used to say that he stood next to the speakers to feel the vibrations of songs he couldn't hear, so he says he tried to feel the music with the vibration of the speaker. Is this really possible?

Can we feel the music with vibrations? Some believed it and have been working on it for about 10 years and trying to develop products for deaf and having hearing loss to feel the music.

I knew about such studies, but I did not know how far they have come. When I read the news of the New York Times today, I read that some projects have made significant progress in this regard. This is really great news because the deaf and having hearing loss can feel the music with the help of a device.

Many projects are still working on this, and according to the New York Times, Not Impossible seems to have come a long way.

Not Impossible has designed wearable backpacks that allow people to experience music as vibrations in their bodies, and the backpacks are starting to become more accessible to the public. This is promising for the future. Click to see the whole news.

The devices were available at events at Lincoln Center in New York City this summer. At the silent disco event, some people had the chance to test the device, and the happiness on their faces shows that it works.

The devices, which translate music into vibrations that are transmitted to different points on the suit, are designed to be worn by both hearing individuals and those who are deaf or have hearing loss.

Imagine deaf people feeling the music, isn't that really cool? I think that the current devices are rough and heavy, I think they will be developed further and become smaller and lighter in the future. And I think these devices will become more common and more accessible in the future.

While these devices are great, I hope in the future doctors find ways to completely cure them.

I Love the Music!

Congratulations @tinyputerboy! Count me in for another round, please! Thank you so very much!

I definitely believe that it's possible to feel music, as it is vibration. We may perceive it differently via our ear drums than other parts of our bodies, but it's still clearly perceivable. This kind of research and technology is interesting and useful indeed, but I also know that complete healing is possible. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

count me in @jfang003

That sounds like a good use of technology but I honestly don't know if it can truly replicate what you can hear. I guess it does serve as an alternative for those who are deaf.

They call it silent dance, yes, it is a product developed for the disabled. Good luck.

Love all these advances to help disabled people. You only have to go to a club with a good sub system to know you can feel music!

Absolutely great advances , I love to see such advances too. That's why I prefer clubs with a good sub subsystem, but unfortunately they are very few in number here.

Many years ago, still as a kid, I remember watching a movie about a deaf woman and I remember that she has her hands on a surface to "feel" the music. So, I have always thought that deaf people could somewhat enjoy music, in certain circumstances. It's fantastic that people are developing products that improve the experience of deaf people!

It's definitely a great development, I hope they develop better products for them. Good luck. !PIZZA

I also heard the notice that deaf people can listen music through vibration. We can also remember the greatest musician of the music history became deaf and while he was deaf composed his best symphony: Beethoven's n.9.
