The Amazing 80's - Three Tune Tuesday

(Edited)

I came across this video this evening and had to post it. It's a montage of the 80's set to Jefferson Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now". It's pretty incredible if you lived it, like your life flashing before your eyes. I can probably name every movie and most actors/actresses in it especially Phoebe Cates, Jennifer Connelly, Elizabeth Shoe, etc. Have a watch/listen.

Continuing with the 80's I wanted to pull some music from the video above so here's another 80's tune by Poison, "Every Rose Has It's Thorn".

The 80's would not have been complete without Huey Lewis & The News. A pop rock band that had hit after hit. Their tunes were an integral part of what the 80's were, fun, love & more fun. This song and video showcase it perfectly.

Huey Lewis & The News "If This Is It".

Perhaps every generation feels this way, but I definitely think America peaked in the 80's. Everything was in balance and fun. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed the tunes!

Thanks to @boxcarblue for introducing me to #TTT and @ablaze for dreaming it up.

I loved the first one, such a happy feel good song always lifts me up. The video is really cool, didn't recognise everything and everyone but was very pleased to see my favourite Dirty Dancing made the cut.

Ya, I wouldn't expect anyone outside of the US to know all of them, but for me growing up it's like seared into my brain, all of it, all of them. I honestly don't know any UK TV other than The Young Ones and of course Monty Python.

I've never actually watched Monty Python, but here's a bit of trivia for you... John Cleese was born in the same town as me 😀

I am rather from the 90s but I love the 80s. Imo, in terms of visual style and fashion, the 80s are cooler than the 90s and everything that came after.

The 80's were like the party decade and the 90's were the after party in an abandoned house with a drug dealer.
