I Still Believe! Saxophone Appreciation - Three Tune Tuesday
I was never really a fan of the saxophone until I heard The Midnight's "Vampires". The saxophone in that song goes hard. It made me realize that some of my favorite songs had saxophones in them and I didn't ever really think about it. Now I do. Check out these three tunes with bad ass saxophones in them, starting with one of the best.
The Midnight - Vampires
On the theme of saxophones and vampires, this cover tune of The Call's "I Still Believe" from the Lost Boys soundtrack was made 10x better by the addition of the saxophone to it. And yes, the dude playing the sax in the movie is Tim Cappello, the man who plays the sax and sings this version.
Tim Cappello - I Still Believe
As I did a bit of research for this post I realized there are a lot of hit tunes out there with the saxophone. It was very hard to choose this last song especially with Sade's "Smooth Operator", but the boys from down under, Men At Work, were a no brainer. Everyone recognizes their songs and they ofter used the sax in them. So here's the last epic sax tune.

Bonus track - Here is the original version of I Still Believe by The Call.
Thanks for listening!
Thanks to @boxcarblue for introducing me to #TTT and @ablaze for dreaming it up.
I always like saxophones and their sounds. Trumpets are a bit too loud for me!
It's a great and versatile instrument like the guitar and piano.
Great sax here! There's nothing quite like a good sax to rev up a song. Gotta love rock-n-roll sax.
