nebo oficiální název Mezinárodní folklorní festival Strážnice. Co to vlastně je? Slavný primáš cimbálové muziky ze Strážnice, Slávek Volavý definoval tuto událost jako osmý div světa. Podle něho jsou to: Tři dny (dnes už čtyři), mezi kterými neexistuje noc.“ Pravdou je, že v době, kdy festival běží, je nějaký program prakticky nepřetržitý. A když zrovna žádný oficiální program neběží, tak jednotlivé soubory hrají jen tak v parku, pro radost sobě i návštěvníkům, nebo se ve skupinkách ochutnává víno, pivo, nebo nějaké dobré jídlo.

Babičky ve starobylých lidových krojích z okolních vesnic prodávají místní speciality, hlavně sladké koláčky, nebo slané placky se vepřovými škvarky, nebo tzv. pagáčky a placky z mouky a brambor se švestkovými povidly, kterým se říká laty. Všechno poctivá domácí výroba, žádné zboží ze supermarketu.

Grandmothers in ancient folk costumes from the surrounding villages sell local specialties, mainly sweet cakes, or savoury pancakes with pork crackling, or so-called pagáčky and pancakes made of flour and potatoes with plum jam, called laty. All honest home-made, no supermarket goods.
