Rurouni Kenshin (2023) – Season 2 Ending Cover ǀ Suikou Setten ǀ [ENG-ESP]
Greetings, Anime lovers! I’m once again in this community dedicated to manga and Japanese animation to share with you an acoustic cover of the ending of the first cut of the second season of the remake of Rurouni Kenshin that is currently airing. On a previous occasion I shared with you a brief review and a musical cover of the first season of the series that premiered the new adaptation in the year 2023.

Me encuentro nuevamente en esta comunidad dedicada al manga y la animación japonesa en ocasión de compartir con ustedes un cover acústico del ending del primer corte de la segunda temporada del remake de Rurouni Kenshin que se encuentra en emisión actualmente. En una ocasión anterior les compartí una breve reseña y un cover musical de la primera temporada de serie que estrenó la nueva adaptación en el año 2023.
Let’s remember that Rurouni Kenshin, Meiji Kenkaku Romantan, was first released between 1996 and 1998, based on the manga of the Samurai and Drama genre by magaka Nobuhiro Watsuki, offering us a story set in the Tokugawa dynasty in the Meiji era and inspired by a real-life samurai considered one of the most skilled and lethal swordsmen of the Bakumatsu period, named Kawakami Gensai.
Himura Kenshin is a samurai who served the patriots of the restoration and was known as the hitokiri or assassin Battosai, who at the end of the conflict decides to become a wanderer who comes to the aid of defenseless people, carrying only a reverse-edged katana, with the firm intention of only defending and never killing again.
Recordemos que Rurouni Kenshin, Meiji Kenkaku Romantan, salió a la luz por primera vez entre los años 1996 hasta 1998, basada en el manga del género Samuráis y Drama del magaka Nobuhiro Watsuki, brindándonos una historia ambientada en la dinastía Tokugawa en la era Meiji y que está inspirada en un samurái de la vida real considerado uno de los espadachines más habilidosos y letales del periodo Bakumatsu que llevaba por nombre Kawakami Gensai.
Himura Kenshin es un samurái que sirvió a los patriotas de la restauración y que era conocido como el hitokiri o asesino Battosai, quien al final del conflicto decide convertirse en un vagabundo que socorre a las personas indefensas, llevando consigo solo una katana de filo invertido, con la firme intención de solo defender y jamás volver a asesinar.
In this second season, the protagonist's mission is to go to Kyoto to confront the evil antagonist Makoto Shishio and try to save the city, but to do so he must first go through many difficult situations, in addition to a final training with his old master to acquire a special attack technique. At this precise moment the series is on episode 17 (5th of the second cut) and is broadcasted every Friday on Crunchyroll.
The music cover I bring you is Suikou Setten, from the J-pop band NOMELON NOLEMON, which as I mentioned is the ending of the first cut (episodes 1-12) of the second season of the series. The title of the song in English would be The Water Light Reaches the Sky, and tells us about the desire of a person to be with her love again, remembering the unfulfilled promises and alluding to the great emptiness that this separation leaves in her heart; however, she does not lose hope and clings to the idea that someday that love will return to illuminate her heart. The English lyrics will be left below. I hope you like it.
En esta segunda temporada el protagonista tiene como misión dirigirse a Kioto para hacerle frente al malvado antagonista Makoto Shishio e intentar salvar a la ciudad, pero para ello primero debe pasar por muchas situaciones complicadas, además de un entrenamiento final con su antiguo maestro para adquirir una técnica de ataque especial. En este preciso momento la serie va por el episodio 17 (5to del segundo corte) y es emitida cada viernes por Crunchyroll.
El cover musical que les traigo se trata de Suikou Setten, de la banda de J-pop NOMELON NOLEMON, la cual como mencioné es el ending del primer corte (episodios 1-12) de la segunda temporada de la serie. El título de la canción en español sería La Luz del Agua Alcanza el Cielo, y nos habla del deseo de una persona de volver a estar junto a su amor, recordando las promesas incumplidas y aludiendo el gran vacío que esta separación deja en su corazón; sin embargo no pierde las esperanzas y se aferra a la idea de que algún día ese amor volverá a iluminar su corazón.
