Vibes Web3 music Competition week 29 ||• Scatman (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop) versión instrumental @rodolfomandolina

En la anterior semana de Vibes tuve la oportunidad de quedar en la lista de los 10 clasificados, aunque no pude quedar como ganador de alguno de los puestos, no pierdo la motivación en traer la mejor versión de mi en cada semana, en cada presentación, poniendo de primero esforzarme en mi ejecución, la selección del tema y la manera en que lo transmito en el vídeo, tratando de exigirme lo más que pueda.

Siguiendo esta línea siempre voy pensando con anticipación en los temas que quiero ejecutar en las próximas semanas, que siento alguna conexión o me guste mucho, tenía un tema ya pensado para esta semana número 29, pero resulta ser que hay un tema para estama semana, los años 90, eso me cambió todo lo que tenia planeado, pero en cuanto supe de esto, me puse en la tarea de investigar 10 temas y ver cuál de todos los seleccionados iba a realizar mi versión instrumental.

El tema que llamó mucho mi atención y que representaba para mí un reto de hacerlo era del Artista Scatman John llamado "ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop" , este fue lanzado en 1994 y es una mezcla de jazz, scatting, rap y ritmos houses. Scatman sufría de una tartamudez severa, imaginenselo, lo que le llevó a una infancia emocionalmente traumática.

Muchos en la escena de ese año, no sé esperaban que alguien con su edad un poco avanzada lanzará un tema tan enérgico, juvenil y bailable, por eso y otros factores fue un tema super exitoso. Así que bueno me puse manos a la obra en crear mi propia versión con mi instrumento la mandolina.

Lo primero que hice fue modificar la pista original un poco, cree otro inicio diferente y el final también lo cambie eso por supuesto con el máximo respeto posible a tremenda obra de arte. Después decidí poco a poco y con mucho ensayo que frases quería utilizar en cada lapso de la canción, hay una parte donde el cantante hacia una especie de rap que era como un solo tono, si realizaba lo mismo en el instrumento, iba a dar como resultado algo demasiado simple porque solo iba hacer una sola nota repetidamente, así que tuve que improvisar y crear algunas melodías, además agregué al final una descarga para que mi versión instrumental alcanzará un crecimiento mayor, dando como resultado este cover instrumental versión by @rodolfomandolina espero les guste.

In the previous week of Vibes I had the opportunity to be in the list of the 10 classified, although I could not be the winner of any of the positions, I do not lose the motivation to bring the best version of me in each week, in each presentation, putting first to strive in my performance, the selection of the theme and the way I transmit it in the video, trying to demand the most I can.

Following this line I always think in advance of the themes that I want to perform in the coming weeks, that I feel some connection or I like a lot, I had a theme already thought for this week number 29, but it turns out that there is a theme for this week, the 90's, that changed everything I had planned, but as soon as I heard about this, I set myself the task of researching 10 themes and see which of all the selected ones I was going to perform my instrumental version.

The song that caught my attention and that represented a challenge for me to do it was by the artist Scatman John called "ski-ba-bop-ba-ba-dop-bop", this was released in 1994 and is a mix of jazz, scatting, rap and house rhythms. Scatman suffered from severe stuttering, imagine that, which led to an emotionally traumatic childhood.

Many in the scene that year, did not expect that someone with his age a little advanced would release a song so energetic, youthful and danceable, for that and other factors was a super successful track. So I got to work on creating my own version with my instrument, the mandolin.

The first thing I did was to modify the original track a little bit, I created a different beginning and I also changed the end, of course with the maximum possible respect to this great work of art. Then I decided little by little and with a lot of rehearsal what phrases I wanted to use in each lapse of the song, there is a part where the singer did a kind of rap that was like a single tone, if I did the same on the instrument, it would result in something too simple because it would only do a single note repeatedly, so I had to improvise and create some melodies, also added at the end a download for my instrumental version to reach a higher growth, resulting in this instrumental cover version by @rodolfomandolina I hope you like it.
