Hive Open Mic #163 - Natalia (Vals 3) by @rodolfomandolina

Un tema interesante el de esta semana en Hive open Mic #163, "Pasión por el arte". Antes de buscar que canción realizaría para esta semana, dije ¿Por qué no entender un poco que es la pasión?, Busque un poco en internet la mayoría de las definiciones arrojaban como resultado que la pasión "es un sentimiento vehemente que puede dominar la voluntad", esto me parecio bien, pero prefería darle mi propio significado.

Para mi la pasión no es más que aquel sentimiento realmente grande, que nos permite conectar nuestra mente y nuestro corazón para motivarnos a querer o hacer algo, que a pesar de las dificultades nos permitira seguir creyendo en que todo saldrá y estará bien, porque con pasión todo se logra.

Desde que comencé en el mundo de la música con tan solo 6 años de edad, al principio no tenía las ganas, el deseo o la pasión de querer aprender sobre ella, sobre cómo tocar un instrumento. Gracias al apoyo de mis padres, en especial de mi papá que me daba ánimos y me aconsejaba que practicará, que no desistiera y que aprendiera, pude poco a poco tomarle un cariño especial a la música.

Comencé a tocar la mandolina y aunque al principio es súper tedioso aprender porque hay que repetir muchas cosas, fue creciendo mi amor por el instrumento y la pasión de este arte. Era tanto las ganas y pasión que le tenía que pasaba días completos practicando el instrumento, incluso podría llamarlo un vicio más allá de mi propia voluntad.

Luego de crecer un poco más, aprender mucho, suceden algunas cosas empezamos a tener mas responsabilidades en el hogar, somos adultos y tenemos que disponer de mucho tiempo para otras situaciones más allá de nuestra pasión por la música y practicar.

También sucede que llegamos a un nivel en la música y la ejecución de un instrumento que nos frustramos, ¿Por qué nos frustramos?, porque creemos que sabemos lo suficiente, no buscamos nuevas cosas que aprender, entre otras cosas. Por lo menos eso me pasó en algunas ocasiones.

Luego te das cuenta que estabas errado, que si amas y te apasiona algo debes seguir intentándolo, dedicarle tiempo, aprender nuevas cosas, siempre hay algo nuevo que aprender, en estos momentos estoy recuperando esa pasión, que se había mermado un poco, y no porque quería si no por situaciones complicada de la vida de un adulto, que hace que no la disfrutes como antes.

Pero se que la pasión esta en mí, recordando un poco del pasado decidí elegír el tema que más me ha costado tocar en la mandolina, sin duda pase muchos días tratando de sacar esta pieza, y todavía no la tocó a la perfección. Este tema se llama "Natalia" cuyo compositor es Antonio Lauro.

Antonio Lauro Compuso numerosas obras para guitarra clásica siendo el vals Natalia una de las más famosas y pieza obligada en muchos concursos de guitarra, además de ser también pruebas en las escuelas y universidades de música tanto nacionales como internacionales.

Me costó mucho sacar el tema, ya que esta hecho especialmente para guitarra, así que tuve que adaptarla a la mandolina, además tocar el bajo y la melodía no es algo que este acostumbrado a tocar en el instrumento, también algo diferente fue usar dedos extras en la mano derecha mientras usas la uña.

Elegí este tema por lo difícil que fue, por las ganas que le puse, y la pasión porque saliera bien. Así que espero que les guste mi interpretación, y disculpen lo malo.

An interesting topic this week in Hive open Mic #163, "Passion for art". Before looking for what song I would do for this week, I said why not understand a little bit what is passion, I searched a little bit on the internet and most of the definitions gave as a result that passion "is a vehement feeling that can dominate the will", this seemed fine to me, but I preferred to give it my own meaning.

For me passion is nothing more than that really great feeling that allows us to connect our mind and our heart to motivate us to want or do something, that despite the difficulties will allow us to continue believing that everything will work out and will be fine, because with passion everything is achieved.

Since I started in the world of music when I was only 6 years old, at the beginning I didn't have the desire, the desire or the passion to learn about it, about how to play an instrument. Thanks to the support of my parents, especially my father who encouraged me and advised me to practice, not to give up and to learn, I was able to gradually take a special affection for music.

I began to play the mandolin and although at first it is very tedious to learn because you have to repeat many things, my love for the instrument and passion for this art grew. It was so much desire and passion that I had that I spent entire days practicing the instrument, I could even call it a vice beyond my own will.

After growing up a little more, learning a lot, some things happen, we start to have more responsibilities at home, we are adults and we have to have a lot of time for other situations beyond our passion for music and practicing.

It also happens that we reach a level in music and playing an instrument that we get frustrated, why do we get frustrated, because we think we know enough, we don't look for new things to learn, among other things. At least that happened to me on a few occasions.

Then you realize that you were wrong, that if you love and are passionate about something you should keep trying, spend time, learn new things, there is always something new to learn, right now I'm recovering that passion, which had diminished a bit, and not because I wanted to but because of complicated situations of adult life, which makes you not enjoy it as before.

But I know that the passion is in me, remembering a little of the past I decided to choose the theme that I had more trouble playing on the mandolin, no doubt I spent many days trying to get this piece, and still not played to perfection. This song is called "Natalia" whose composer is Antonio Lauro.

Antonio Lauro composed numerous works for classical guitar being the waltz Natalia one of the most famous and required piece in many guitar competitions, besides being also tests in schools and universities of music both nationally and internationally.

I had a hard time getting the song out, since it was made especially for guitar, so I had to adapt it to the mandolin, plus playing the bass and the melody is not something I'm used to playing on the instrument, also something different was using extra fingers on the right hand while using the fingernail.

I chose this song because of how difficult it was, the desire I put into it, and the passion to get it right. So I hope you like my interpretation, and sorry for the bad stuff.
