[Esp-Eng] Día de ensayo, Reunión y Compartir Musical con amigos ||• @rodolfomandolina

De verdad como extrañaba esto, jajaja, ¿Se preguntarán que extrañaba? Bueno de coordinar un ensayo con mis amigos músicos de la agrupación en la cual tocó la mandolina, ya teníamos como un mes sin vernos por varios motivos, pero hoy era el día, tenemos que retomar nuestros ensayos, nuestros objetivos y propósitos como agrupación si queremos cumplir nuestras metas.

Así que bueno, prepare todo antes de irme en la casa, luego fui a la parada del transporte público, donde menos mal solo espere 25 minutos y paso un autobús, después llegue a un lugar llamado el centro y tenía que tomar otro transporte público más, para poder llegar al sitio de reunión.

I really missed this, hahaha, you may wonder what I missed? Well to coordinate a rehearsal with my musician friends of the group in which he played the mandolin, we already had about a month without seeing each other for various reasons, but today was the day, we have to resume our rehearsals, our objectives and purposes as a group if we want to meet our goals.

So well, I prepared everything before leaving the house, then I went to the public transportation stop, where luckily I only waited 25 minutes and a bus passed by, then I arrived to a place called the center and I had to take another public transportation to get to the meeting place.

Una vez que llegue al sitio, me encontré con el percusionista que toca la caja flamenca, y luego subimos al apartamento del director de la agrupación, quien es ejecutante del instrumento llamado Cuatro.

Una vez todos juntos, nos saludamos, sacamos y preparamos nuestros instrumentos, para comenzar con el ensayo-reunion. Claro pero antes de eso, les dije para tomarnos una foto 😂, y les dije la frase "La foto de un año sin vernos las caras" jajajaja. Ya ustedes saben que es solo un decir, realmente solo fue un mes.

Once I arrived at the site, I met with the percussionist who plays the flamenco box, and then we went up to the apartment of the director of the group, who is a player of the instrument called Cuatro.

Once we were all together, we greeted each other, took out and prepared our instruments, to start the rehearsal-meeting. Of course, but before that, I told them to take a picture 😂, and I told them the phrase "The picture of a year without seeing each other's faces" hahahaha. You know it's just a saying, it was really only a month.

Faltaba un integrante el cual no pudo asistir que es el bajista, pero bueno, así debemos trabajar para ir adelantando y coordinar cosas importantes. Tuvimos una reunión, conversamos muchos en cual era el rumbo que debíamos tomar como agrupación, ya que las cosas se han tornado bastante complicadas para que salgan presentaciones pagas, el mercado musical está un poco grave, por la misma situación económica muchas agrupaciones o artistas han regalado prácticamente su trabajo y eso hace que se dañe el mercado para todos, y no solo eso, si no que no se le da el valor que un artista merece.

Por lo menos, antes en Venezuela era muy común rebajar a un músico o clasificarlo como una persona, fiestera, alcoholica, irresponsable, entre otras cosas. Pero a medida de los años, los músicos y artistas han demostrado que es una profesión igual que cualquiera, que amerita horas de estudio, aprendizaje, disciplina para poder ejecutar un instrumento o cantar.

Nosotros en parte de la reunión, aparte de eso, hablamos de que debíamos proponernos metas a corto y largo plazo, como por ejemplo crear un repertorio inédito, y que sean arreglos propios de nosotros, además de eso compartir y crear contenido con otros artistas de la isla donde vivimos, y por supuesto sacar material audiovisual de los nuevos temas que vayamos haciendo. Poco a poco anotamos y creamos una lista de prioridades, que esperamos cumplir para este año y el próximo.

La esposa del cuatrista fue muy amable y nos dio una bebida gaseosa muy conocida en Venezuela llamada Cocacola, eso nos sirvió para refrescarnos.

There was one member who could not attend, the bass player, but well, that's how we have to work in order to move forward and coordinate important things. We had a meeting, we talked a lot about the direction we should take as a group, since things have become quite complicated for paid presentations, the music market is a bit serious, because of the same economic situation many groups or artists have practically given away their work and that hurts the market for everyone, and not only that, but it is not given the value that an artist deserves.

At least, before in Venezuela it was very common to demean a musician or classify him as a person, partying, alcoholic, irresponsible, among other things. But over the years, musicians and artists have shown that it is a profession just like any other, which requires hours of study, learning and discipline to be able to play an instrument or sing.

In part of the meeting, apart from that, we talked about that we should propose short and long term goals, such as creating an unpublished repertoire, and that they are our own arrangements, in addition to that share and create content with other artists from the island where we live, and of course to produce audiovisual material of the new songs that we are doing. Little by little we wrote down and created a list of priorities, which we hope to accomplish this year and next year.

The cuatrista's wife was very kind and gave us a very well known soft drink in Venezuela called Cocacola, that helped us to refresh ourselves.

Luego si ensayamos y repasamos un tema nuevo e inédito que estamos montando que es una composición mía, combina ritmos como la jota carupanera, tambor y tecno.

Después de un rato terminamos, y seguimos hablando un poco más, de la nada pareció un gato que no sabíamos el percusionista y yo, que estaba en el apartamento, al parecer lo adoptaron hace poco.

Then we rehearsed and reviewed a new and unreleased song that we are putting together which is a composition of mine, it combines rhythms such as jota carupanera, drum and techno.

After a while we finished, and we continued talking a little more, out of nowhere a cat appeared that the percussionist and I didn't know, it was in the apartment, apparently it was recently adopted.

Además de eso, me quedé impresionado porque mi amigo percusionista, mando a realizar con un luthier una caja flamenca desarmable, y estaba súper increíble. Se ajustaba muy bien y su sonido era muy bueno.

Me mostraba el paso a paso que debía hacer para desarmarla, y me dice que ahora es más cómodo transportarla de un lugar a otro y menos pesada.

Besides that, I was impressed because my percussionist friend had a luthier make a disassembled flamenco snare drum, and it was super awesome. It fit very well and its sound was very good.

He showed me step by step how to disassemble it, and he tells me that now it is more comfortable to transport it from one place to another and less heavy.

Después tuve la grata sorpresa, que el percusionista había viajado hace poco a estados unidos y nos trajo un regalo 🎁, nunca me había pasado algo así, cuando me da el regalo es una camisa que comprado en new Orleans si no me equivoco, la cual me encantó tenía la palabra jazz y salía el dibujo de un saxofón.

Then I had the pleasant surprise that the percussionist had recently traveled to the United States and brought us a gift 🎁 I had never had anything like this happen to me, when he gave me the gift it was a shirt that I bought in New Orleans if I'm not mistaken, which I loved, it had the word jazz and a drawing of a saxophone.

Luego de eso y de varias horas, era hora de despedirnos, y dar la gracias por todo, había terminado nuestro ensayo. Como no quería regresar todavía a la casa, me fui a donde suele reunirse la orquesta sinfónica, para escuchar algo de música clásica y compartir con otros músicos, pero cuando llegue estaba vacío, y el único que estaba era alguien haciendo el trabajo administrativo.

Cuando me acerco es un querido amigo que toca las maracas, allí hablamos como 3 horas, de la vida, de música, de situaciones, de verdad súper agradable nuestra conversación bastante desestresante, y la calidad humana que tiene mi amigo es increíble, súper genuino y humilde.

After that and several hours, it was time to say goodbye, and to say thank you for everything, our rehearsal was over. As I didn't want to go back home yet, I went to where the symphony orchestra usually meets, to listen to some classical music and share with other musicians, but when I arrived it was empty, and the only one who was there was someone doing administrative work.

When I approached a dear friend who plays the maracas, we talked for about 3 hours, about life, music, situations, really super nice our conversation quite de-stressing, and the human quality that my friend has is incredible, super genuine and humble.

Luego cuando veo el reloj del celular, solo me quedo decir "Dios mío" ya es tarde, debía regresar a casa, tenía deberes que cumplir jajajaja.

Prácticamente lo demás fue tomar de nuevo el transporte público, regresar a casa, ayudar en casa, comer y bañarme, el día había culminado, la verdad fue bastante agradable, lleno de música, conversaciones y risas.

Then when I saw the clock on my cell phone, all I could say was "Oh my God" it was late, I had to go back home, I had homework to do hahahaha.

Practically the rest was to take public transportation again, return home, help at home, eat and bathe, the day was over, the truth was quite nice, full of music, conversations and laughter.
