"Resort Ass Stage Aid" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)
[Digital drawing and found imagery over photograph that I took of a few of my vinyl records...] I don't know what this piece means. To me, it's just a strange digital collage that I put together. Nothing really planned. One thing happened (in my phone) and then another and then another, and then I decided it was "done." Fun! ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

READ READ READ! (Or be DESTROYED!!!)
Lately, I've been reading quite a lot of stuff. (I guess that's not particularly unusual.) In particular, I've been digging through my old comics and reading single issues. The experiment is based around the idea of gauging how much actual STORY can be found in ONE COMIC. So far, it seems like older books (1970s and before) seem to have a beginning, middle, and ending, possibly even a satisfying tales, instead of CHAPTERS...sections of a story, which the expectation that the reader will look elsewhere for more parts of a narrative. Is this a fair THING to ask of a comic? Yep. I mean, what's the POINT of a making a single issue of a book that is INHERENTLY unsatisfying on it's own?
Just something to think about...
