The Battle is Never Under...I mean OVER... by RFY (holy fool)

It is Friday as I type this, Sep. 29, 2023. I have seen the future. I can't afford it. (That's okay. I'm opting out of consumer culture. I've decided to concentrate on etheric / artistic / psychological topics, instead of fancy tech-toys or conspicuous consumption games... So... Let's see what's been up over the last few days...

Yesterday was a grandpa/babysitting day. The little kid was still ill, so she couldn't go to school. We THINK she was healthed up enough today to go. (She was excited to see her friends! I guess grandpa is boring. All I ever want to do is color!!!)

Here's some stuff:

[Posted to typed.art]:

The "NEW" regular schedule for life has begun. I am a fan of routines, rituals, and grooves. Some folks find these restrictive, but I come at this universe from a position of utter chaos and entropy and mental overload, so finding a way to build little moments of CLARITY in the CHAOS is very helpful for keeping me from freaking out (actually, I usually FREAK-IN; when I'm too overwhelmed I shrink and shrivel inwards...)

As it goes, now, I have a tentative daily schedule: ---1. Up (meds); ---2. Take Mariah to work; ---3. Get Felicity ready and take her to school; ---4. ME TIME (writing, art, music, reading, chores, shower, whatever...); ---5. Pick Felicity up from school [Felicity is my granddaughter, for any folks who might not be aware]; ---5.5 Possibly pick up Felicity's dad, Alec (if Frankie can't); ---6. Pick Mariah up from work; ---7. Dinner and evening stuff; ---8. Night meds; ---9. Read until I think I might be able to sleep...; ---10. Reset and begin again...

Somewhere in there I might squeeze a bit of breakfast or lunch, but I'm bad at remembering to eat is it's not worked into the schedule, and at the moment, the schedule is pretty tight. (The "ME TIME" ends up being between 4 and 5 hours, depending on whether or not it's early release from school day. Technically, the reading time at the end of the day is "ME TIME," as well, but it's also essential for lulling me to sleep. If I try to sleep without reading, I may take 2 or 3 hours to crash---even with all the pills. It's a mental game! I have a pretty good handle on how to play it, at the moment...)

WE FEAR CHANGE. Our needs are simple and almost attainable, but LIFE is constantly throwing asteroids thru our glass house's roof!!!

Need better protection spells! (I'll keep reading...)

The world, as Billy once said, is a vampire. I hate garlic, though, so I'll need to find a different method of keeping myself unbitten... Anything else for this post??? (Checks notes...) Nope! We'll see ya'll again in a few days...

LATER!
