[ENG] Greetings, Hive! The 'Cuatro' is an autochthonous and traditional instrument from the country where I was born, Venezuela, characterized by its ability to generate percussion sounds and strumming; As its name indicates, it has four strings, and its tuning from the last to the first is: A, D, F# and B. The cuatro is generally used for folk music, a representative tool of the traditions of each region, going through the Andes and the plains, east and west, from north to south there is a great variety of genres, for example, between the best known: 'La Gaita', 'El Joropo' y 'El Calipso'.

I like the possibility of combining the characteristic sounds of 'Cuatro' to make the music that I really listen to, although I like Venezuelan music, my musical references and influences are more global, genres like rock, blues and funk I found them very cool and fresh. I like how practical the 'Cuatro' is that, due to its size, I can take anywhere without much effort to look for new scenarios. For this video, in addition to the Cuatro, I also used the electric keyboard to do the drums effects.

El Cuatro es un instrumento autóctono y tradicional del país en donde nací, Venezuela, se caracteriza por su capacidad para generar sonidos de percusión y rasgueos; como su nombre lo indica tiene cuatro cuerdas, y su afinación desde la última a la primera es: La, Re, Fa# y Si. El cuatro se utiliza por lo general para la música folklórica, herramienta representativa de las tradiciones de cada región, pasando por los andes y por los llanos, por oriente y occidente, de norte a sur existe gran variedad de géneros, por ejemplo, entre los más conocidos: La Gaita, El Joropo y El Calipso.

Me gusta la posibilidad de combinar los sonidos característicos del 'Cuatro' para hacer la música que en verdad escucho, aunque me gusta la música venezolana, mis referencias e influencias musicales son más globales, géneros como el Rock, el Blues y el Funk me divierten y agradan. Me gusta lo práctico que es el 'Cuatro' que, por su tamaño, puedo llevar a cualquier lugar sin mucho esfuerzo para buscar nuevos escenarios. Para este video además del Cuatro, utilicé también el teclado eléctrico para hacer los efectos de batería.
