‎Hello everyone, welcome to Hive Music Festival Week 170. I’m @respect01, and for this week’s Round 2 entry, I’m singing a cover of “Yesu Masoyina” by Solomon Lange.
‎“Yesu Masoyina” is a Hausa song which means “Jesus, my lover.” It expresses that no one can separate me from Him. This song carries a deep meaning. It asks the question: is there anything that can separate someone from the love of God? Even things like stealing, fornication, adultery, and other sins—can any of these separate us from the love of God? This song encourages me and everyone listening that nothing should be able to separate us from the love of God, whether it is human beings or anything else.
‎I love this song so much because it expresses my feelings to my lover, Jesus. My lover—no one can separate me from Him. It has given me the courage and confidence that nothing can separate me from His love. I have accepted this truth and put it at the front of my mind, knowing that He is indeed my Messiah. There is nothing in heaven or on earth that can separate me from Him. This mindset always helps me in everything I do. Whenever I keep this truth in my heart, all things work together for my good.
‎The song also talks about Jesus as the One who hears my prayers and wipes my tears away. He is our Shepherd and our Redeemer. Whenever we come to Him in prayer, He wipes away our tears and answers our prayers. This is the mighty God whom we serve. All we can give Him in return is praise and adoration of His holy name. What a marvelous God He is. The things He has done for me are so many that I cannot tell them all, because He has truly done so much for me.
