¡Hoy ha sido un día muy bueno! Ha permanecido soleado, pero sin haber calor. Hasta mi gatito lo ha disfrutado mucho durmiendo todo el día en el sofá.
Yo he estado escuchando música mientras coloreo una de las páginas de “Ángel Guardián”. Hacía días que no sentía un día tan relajado como ha sido el de hoy. Hasta el vecindario ha permanecido en silencio, lo cual se agradece bastante pues siempre es muy ruidoso.
He escuchado música de manera aleatoria, ya que estoy coloreando. Cuando dibujo una escena en particular, busco música que me ayude a evocar las emociones que están mostrando los personajes, eso me ayuda a conectar fácil con ellos y plasmarlos de manera más fluida.
Sin embargo, cuando coloreo, pongo música aleatoria, sólo quiero concentrarme en colorear y olvidarme de lo que ocurre alrededor.
Dentro de la música que estaba escuchando, estaban las canciones del álbum “Jubilee” de Versailles.
Versailles es una banda de rock japonés en estilo visual kei. Sus trajes y maquillaje son muy llamativos y atractivos.
Haber escuchado ese álbum en particular, me hizo recordar a su anterior bajista, Jasmine You. Jasmine era un excelente bajista y el traje del personaje que representaba era muy llamativo y complejo: sus vestidos (ya que interpretaba el papel de la bruja en la banda) eran cargados de muchos adornos, lazos y cintas, su peinado era muy vaporoso completado con tocados cargados de plumas y su maquillaje no era menos llamativo.
Había hecho un retrato de él cuando Versailles vino a mi país para enviarlo al Street Team y que fuera agregado dentro del Fanbook que se le daría de regalo a la banda.
Hoy se los comparto:
De este retrato, lo más complicado de hacer fueron las plumas y el cabello. Me tomé bastante tiempo en estos elementos que son los más llamativos. Además, quería que las plumas dieran la sensación de suavidad. Fue de los primeros retratos que hice de esta banda tanto para enviarlo para la actividad del fanbook como para mi propio estudio. Lo realicé con Easy Paint Tool Sai.

Today has been a very good day! It has been sunny, but not too hot. Even my kitty enjoyed it, sleeping all day on the sofa.
I've been listening to music while coloring one of the pages from "Angel Guardian". It's been a while since I've felt such a relaxed day like today. Even the neighborhood has remained quiet, which is very appreciated since it's usually very noisy.
I've been listening to random music while coloring. When I draw a particular scene, I look for music that helps me evoke the emotions that the characters are showing. It helps me connect with them easily and portray them more fluidly.
However, when I color, I play random music. I just want to concentrate on coloring and forget about what's happening around me.
Among the music I was listening to, there were songs from the album "Jubilee" by Versailles.
Versailles is a Japanese rock band in the visual kei style. Their costumes and makeup are very striking and attractive.
Listening to that particular album reminded me of their former bassist, Jasmine You. Jasmine was an excellent bassist, and the character he portrayed in the band had a very elaborate and eye-catching costume. His dresses (as he played the role of a witch in the band) were adorned with many decorations, ribbons, and bows. His hairstyle was very voluminous, complemented with feathered headpieces, and his makeup was equally eye-catching.
I made a portrait of him when Versailles came to my country, to send it to the Street Team and have it included in the Fanbook that would be given as a gift to the band.
Today, I'm sharing it with you:
The most challenging parts of this portrait were the feathers and the hair. I spent quite some time on these elements, as they are the most striking. Additionally, I wanted the feathers to give a feeling of softness. It was one of the first portraits I made of this band, both to send it for the fanbook activity and for my own study. I created it using Easy Paint Tool Sai.
