Estimados hivers les quiero mostrar dos escenas de la naturaleza en mi vecindario.
En primer lugar les presento una imponente palmera que era batida por el viento en ese momento. Se puede observar su gran altura y el lugar donde fue plantada hace unos cuarenta años frente al edificio donde vivo. Se trata de un Chaguaramo o Palma Real (Roystonea venezuelana) que, como lo dice su nombre científico, se atribuye su lugar de origen a Venezuela.

Dear hivers, I want to show you some scenes of nature in my neighborhood.
In the first place I present to you an imposing palm tree that was beaten by the wind at that moment. You can see its great height and the place where it was planted some forty years ago in front of the building where I live. It is a Chaguaramo or Palma Real (Venezuelan Roystonea) that, as its scientific name says, its place of origin is attributed to Venezuela.

Por otra parte pude captar a un canario criollo o canario de tejado (Sicalis flaveola) que se alimentaba con semillas sobre la grama del patio.

On the other hand, I was able to capture a Creole canary or Roof canary (Sicalis flaveola) that was feeding on seeds on the grass in the patio.
