This song is one of the very songs I immediately fell in love with after the first time I listened to it, you can as well call it love at first hearing because it is truly unique you could feel emotions resonating from it.

In a world where some men don't value women and don't take them for what they are truly worth, in countries where women are tired of being only sit at home moms, women only having their place in the kitchen and young pretty ladies only dated by men to be taken advantage of and for the show offs, the song you don't own me by Lesley Gore came alive hitting hard in the hearts of its listeners seeking to inprint the noble message of respect for women. This song helped to change women's narrative in America.

You don't own me was a 1963 song sang by Lesley Gore a 17 year old lady, after getting ditched at a party. The song spread like an anthem building from a minor-key dirge in the verses to a spirited chorus.

Of course, it got picked up as an anthem for women because of how they were treated at that time in America. The inspiration I drew from this song is non other than to stand up and fight with boldness for what you believe in, because we live in a world where nothing is actually getting better if you truly think about it. the more advanced we grow, the more advanced problems surfaces.

Our life span is continually shortening by days as it passes by, today many pass away not living up to the age of their grandparents or father. So I find it as something of great importance to stand up for what we believe in and make a difference with the little time we have as humans. Think about it for a while, just yesterday you were still living with your parents as a child but today you're all grown up now and needs to start taking care of your family.

I believe when we stand up against what is not going right in the society, it will help encourage the good ones among us, standing up against what you hate symbolizes confidence and power. When we let our voices be heard to give our opinion in support to or against what is progressively going on around us it shows that we exist and have freedom of expression, because I believe that every human being was created to have their own contribution to this world.

When we all contribute the good we have in us, the world becomes a more better place for our children who will soon grow as we hope they experience less hardship and resistance to progress unlike we encountered.
When we take to account that naturally we were not designed to be like robots to only work on assigned tasks, we can therefore get the full understanding that we are created to make decisions of our own and make our own choices.

The choices we make today can either affect us directly or indirectly. We should also put into consideration the contribution of women in our society, I remember back in high school days when in the gathering of men, you'll be hearing of ladies that are good for just the show offs and nothing more, while some will be good wife Materials. But with all of this, many men don't try to consider that a lot of women don't enjoy being placed on the spot light only for everyone to see.
The choices of our women should be respected, many women today are doing what they definitely don't like because of their lovers, hoping to please them.

Men in their own aspect already knows the women they won't marry, but why keep a lady you know you won't marry and later break her heart, and she lives with that pain to believe men can't be trusted and therefore stop taking relationships serious, which can easily break up with another one or be more difficult to say yes to another man that genuinely loves her. Men, We should put into consideration that one day we will become fathers and have daughters too and how will you feel if we one day hear of your daughters heartbreaking story of what other men do to them?.

When a woman leaves every other guy out there to stay with you as her man, the person of her choice. It's not because she wants you to be constantly showing her off to your friends and family or keep bossing her around. She needs to build deeper connections and trust with you because if you truly care about your woman, you'll understand that women deals more with their emotions, while men acts majorly on what they see and that's from they mostly judge on love or hate.
