Formas: preparing for the /preparación para el Festival Nuevas Bandas 2023

Hello again, Ces here after a little time off, I'm back with updates from my musical world.

Just to refresh the memory, I'm in the band Formas, current winners of the Circuito Occidente of Festival Nuevas Bandas 2023, which meant something immense for my career as a musician and that of my band mates, due to the exposure that this event generates to many other people, since it is one of the most important events of the alternative music scene in my country, Venezuela.

Today I am here to tell you a little about the preparation for the grand finale in Caracas and also to get to know my band mates, the "geometricos", a little better.

In Formas I'mm the keyboardist and arranger of the band, a job that I like very much, because it's also something that allows me to be a little behind the scenes. . . the opposite of our singer, Nadia, who is always in front of everything, encouraging the public with her beautiful voice.

There are also Malau and Fran, our guitarist and bass player respectively, in charge of keeping the energy and flow with Nadia on the very front of the stage.

Our secret weapon, Manuel, aka "Floffy", our great trumpet player, a skillful player of his instrument and the differentiating factor of our pachanga, also slipped in.

Last but not least, the great Manu, the one who puts the rhythm to our lives and keeps us on track (he is also a first class joker, he makes us laugh a lot).

We are currently keeping to a pace of 2 to 3 rehearsals per week, which is exhausting, but it's something that's necessary to put on the best show possible at the grand finale.

For me, winning the final would be a dream come true, but really just to be playing and sharing my music with an audience that has never heard us before is more than enough.

Hola de nuevo, Ces por aquí luego de un poco de tiempo en silencio, he vuelto con actualizaciones de mi mundo musical.

Solo para refrescar la memoria, soy parte de la banda Formas, actuales ganadores del Circuito Occidente del Festival Nuevas Bandas 2023, lo cual significó algo inmenso para mí carrera cómo músico y la de mis compañeros, debido a la exposición que nos genera a muchas otras personas este evento, dado que es uno de los eventos más importantes de la movida musical alternativa de mi país, Venezuela.

Hoy vengo a contarles un poco lo que ha sido la preparación para la gran final en Caracas y además, de que conozcan un poco más a mis compañeros de banda, los "geométricos".

En Formas yo soy el tecladista y arreglista de la banda, labor que me gusta mucho, porque además es algo que me permite estar un poco tras bambalinas. . .caso contrario a nuestra cantante, Nadia, que siempre está al frente de todo, alentando al público con su hermosa voz

También están Malau y Fran, nuestros guitarrista y bajista respectivamente, encargados de mantener la energía y el flow con Nadia al frente de todo.

Por ahí también se coló nuestra arma secreta, Manuel, alias "Floffy", nuestro gran trompetista, un duro en su instrumento y el factor diferenciador de nuestra pachanga.

Por último, pero para nada menos importante, el gran Manu, el que le pone el ritmo a nuestras vidas y nos mantiene en el carril (también es un payaso de primera categoría, nos hace reír mucho).

Actualmente nos estamos manteniendo a un ritmo de 2 a 3 ensayos por semana, lo cual es extenuante, pero es algo que es necesario para dar el mejor show posible en la gran final.

Para mí, ganar la final sería un sueño cumplido, pero realmente con el simple hecho de estar tocando y compartiendo mi música con un público que jamás nos ha oído, es más que suficiente.
