Triple Tuned Tuesday: Music is an anti-depressant
Music is food for the soul and an antidepressant that helps overcome anger, depression, mood swings, and bad times. This is why I love listening to songs with good lyrics that will lift my soul. As a lover of music, I love all genres, and fortunately, Nigeria is blessed with beautiful, handsome, and talented artists who have what it takes to make good songs. Today I bring to us one of Nigeria's talented young afrobeat musician, popularly known as Barry Jhay.
A great talent born in Oluwakayode Junior Balogun, a son of one of the most popular Fuji and Were (a traditional Yoruba genre of song) musician, Sikiru Ayinde Ololade Barrister. He is not different from his father; he has strong vocals that make his listeners fall in love with his songs. He came to the limelight in 2018 through his single titled "Aiye," and since then he has been giving his fans good music with reasonable lyrics.
Most of his songs are in the Yoruba dialect because, in one of his interviews, when he was asked why he sings in Yoruba, he replied that it is his little way of showcasing his culture. His good lyrics have made him win his way into the hearts of many, and he kept his good way of singing. Music sometimes affects our thoughts, which is why it's good to listen to good music that helps you in lots of ways.

It was really wonderful reading your article. Beyond the fact that you are a wonderful writer, I also love the fact that you were able to represent African music so well. In as much as I am a lover a music generally, I have this special likeness for African music and I happy to find someone else who do😊. Sorry I kind of left the topic😀. I completely agree with you when you say music is the food of the soul, I am a lover of soft going music and I also believe music is capable of melting the hardest of heart. Thank you so much @rare-gem.
You are most welcome
I really liked that he sang in Yoruba. It's nice (for me) to hear a variety of music. The video for Aiye was really powerful with a great story.
I'm glad you love it, hope you understand him a bit. Yoruba language is beautiful, you might wanna try learning.
