Hello, my Open Mic brothers! First of all, I want to send you many blessings. It took me a while to find a song that fit this week's theme, until I realized that the answer was obvious and always right in front of my eyes. If you have seen any of my posts, you will have noticed my undeniable affinity for the salsa genre and all its derivatives. However, I have never mentioned in my blog that the second genre I have listened to the most in my life, and of which I am the biggest fan, is reggae. All this thanks to an uncle who introduced me to it at a very young age. From Marley and Tosh to Cultura Profética and Rawayana, if you have listened to at least one reggae album, you will know that there are many songs that talk about nature and connecting with it. That's why I decided to bring a cover of one of the first songs of this musical style that I loved since my childhood: "Música de paz" by PapaShanty Sound System. This song is the fourth track of the album "Ashanty Granpa", released by Shanty Om Records in 2005. Under a power reggae rhythm, it focuses on the hardest and most classic protest of the genre, questioning the disconnection that exists in this world of automated and artificial cities. The lyrics affirm that the most necessary thing is the reconnection with nature and the good vibes that, as the lyrics say: "The natural world proposes".

Me costó un poco encontrar una canción que se adecuara al tema de esta semana, hasta que me di cuenta de que la respuesta era obvia y siempre estuvo frente a mis ojos. Si han visto alguna de mis publicaciones, habrán notado mi innegable afinidad por el género de la salsa y todos sus derivados. Sin embargo, nunca he mencionado en mi blog que el segundo género que más he escuchado en mi vida, y del cual soy el mayor fan, es el reggae. Todo esto gracias a un tío que me lo presentó desde muy pequeño. Desde Marley y Tosh hasta Cultura Profética y Rawayana, si han escuchado al menos un álbum de reggae, sabrán que hay muchas canciones que hablan de la naturaleza y de la conexión con ella. Por eso, he decidido traer un cover de una de las primeras canciones de este estilo musical que me encantó desde mi infancia:"Música de paz" by PapaShanty Sound Systemde PapaShanty Sound System. Esta canción es el cuarto track del álbum "Ashanty Granpa", publicado por Shanty Om Records en 2005. Bajo un ritmo de power reggae, se enfoca en la protesta más dura y clásica del género, cuestionando la desconexión que existe en este mundo de ciudades automatizadas y artificiales. La letra afirma que lo más necesario es la reconexión con la naturaleza y las buenas vibras que, como dice la letra: "El mundo natural propone".
