| The other day, out of nowhere, my coworker and friend told me she had an extra ticket for Sabina’s concert. I said yes immediately — no doubt. And honestly, it was such a wonderful concert. | El otro día, de repente, mi compañera y amiga me dijo que le sobraba un ticket, una entrada para el concierto de Sabina, y yo sin duda le dije que sí, que quería unirme. | Sabina is a Spanish singer-songwriter who’s now doing his final tour because he’s already quite old. He started his music career around the 70s, and up to today he’s created tons of wonderful songs, full of unique and beautiful lyrics. He’s from my parents’ generation, but his songs have reached younger people too, like me for example. It was amazing being able to see him live before he retires. The concert was actually called “Hola y Adiós”. It was truly beautiful and emotional. | Sabina es un cantautor español que está dando su última gira de conciertos porque es bastante mayor ya. Empezó su carrera musical sobre los años 70, 1970, y hasta día de hoy ha creado un sinfín de canciones maravillosas con unas letras únicas y súper bonitas. La verdad que es de la época de mis padres, pero ha llegado a todo tipo de públicos más jóvenes como yo, por ejemplo. Es una maravilla haber podido verlo en concierto antes de que se retire. De hecho, el concierto se llamaba Hola y Adiós. La verdad que me ha gustado mucho. Ha sido precioso y muy emotivo. |

| I went really excited, not just to see Sabina but also to visit the new arena that recently opened this summer — the Roig Arena. They say there are concerts and basketball games there too. The arena belongs to the owner of the supermarket chain Mercadona. I had already seen it during the day, but at night it’s just another level — the lights changing colors, the huge space inside, places to eat everywhere. The concert hall itself is enormous. I couldn’t believe how full it was, packed up to the very top. It was so impressive that I honestly can’t wait to go back. | Y he ido con muchas ganas no solo por ver a Sabina, sino también por ver el nuevo edificio que está ya en funcionamiento desde hace poco, desde este verano, en el que hay conciertos, hay partidos de baloncesto, creo. Se llama el Estadio del Roig Arena, porque es del dueño de la cadena de supermercados, Mercadona. Y la verdad es que me ha parecido increíble. Lo había visto por el día, pero no lo había visto por la noche, con las luces que cambian, la iluminación por dentro supergrande, tiene un montón de sitios para comer, para cenar. La sala de conciertos en sí es enorme. He flipado con la de gente que había hasta arriba del todo. Me ha impresionado tanto que me ha encantado y ya tengo ganas de volver pronto. |

This sounds like such an amazing experience! 🎶 I love how you described him a poet, storyteller, and rebel all in one. The Roig Arena also sounds incredible. I can totally imagine the lights and the energy of the crowd. I’ve never listened to Sabina before, but after reading this, I really want to check out his songs.
