Engulfed in Sonder - A BlockChain Collaboration
This is an author reading of one of my best poems, shared from the past into the present, with a twist.
AS @nickyhavey announced in his post Engulfed in Sonder will be given a new life, enhanced by his music, made an extravaganza of Drum'n'Bass mixed with poetry.
To explain the origin of the word Sonder it is an obscure word, which I used as a prompt to inspire the poem.
sonder
the realization that each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground.

This evolution of creativity which will evolve in collaboration is something which used to happen regularly a long time ago when I first joined this network and has become less common.
When two creative entrepreneurs put the best of their skills together magic can happen and I will be sharing a recording of my poetry combined with Nicky's music at a local poetry night as the headliner (as performed) with the collab track we (@raj808 and @nickyhavey) made as my walk-on and first performance piece in my local poetry light in Liverpool.
Thanks for watching my author reading 🙂
Keep your eyes peeled for the live recording of the event!
Thanks for reading 🌿

Nice to hear your voice again, @raj808! It’s a haunting poem, and very nice with the moody music. I’m glad to learn a new word, too!
Thanks for checking out the poem Jayna, and you're right it is kinda melancholy with that particular music, but the Drum'n'Bass the extremely talented
@nickyhavey
incorporated with the poem gives a it a completely different feel 😃I'm really excited to walk on to it at my first headliner slot at the best poetry night in Liverpool. I'm literally going to walk up to the mic and stand with my head bowed with the music/poetry playing and then look up at the audience with the final section and read those final lines through the mic to add to the impact.
Bit of drama, and something I've never seen anyone else do there so 🤞 it will go down well. I've also written a 210-line performance piece that I'm chuffed to bits with, I feel it is one of the best poems I've ever written from a performance standpoint.
Anyway, I'll be uploading a video of my set on the 3rd or 4th of May 2023 as the poetry night is the first Tuesday of every month.
P.s. if you fancy listening to a more beautiful upbeat bit of raj808 readding poetry it suddenly occurred to me my last one on youtube you might like. Thanks for stopping my and taking a listen to my poem 🙂
The addition of music to poetry is just so gooood! I love it.
I hope there's going to be more though? 'cause I'd be looking forward to it
No worries, as I said in the blog when I headline the premier poetry night here in my home city, I'm going to record the whole 15-minute set which will include a fully mastered version of the music/poetry collab I have been working on with the extremely talented
@nickyhavey
😃That will probably be published the day after, on the 3rd or May 👍🌿
The month of may comes with lots of perks as it is my month. I look forward to it😃. I know it would be an amazing presentation.
Yes mate! Really looking forward to the mastering and hearing how your grand opening, walk on stage, mic drop moment will be with the fireworks and pyrotechnics going off in the background as the tune drops on stage :D
Ha ha, well it's a poetry night so there is no stage... as, well, poetry is an acquired taste apparently 😂
But Liverbards, where I'm headlining on 2nd May is one of the two longest-running, and well-respected poetry open mics here in Liverpool. I'm going to defo film it though, possibly using my friend's kick-ass Google Pixel 7 🙂
Hi @nickyhavey I was wondering if you knew of any step-by-step videos of how to use v4v.app to convert hive to BTC via lightening network?
I have the Muun on my phone but when I get to this part you described to me:
I'm unsure what the best procedure is? Do I just look up the current amount of sats for, e.g. 200 hive and put that in and then it will send that amount minus fees?
Or do I have to work out fees myself and request the current sat value of the hive I want to send and add on the fee?
There is also an option for bitcoin or sats... I'm assuming you choose sats unless you've got a whole BTC or more to move/convert etc. Is that the case?
Sry to bug you with this is there a video out there by anyone you can point me to I'll be able to figure it out.
I've been looking at the BTC dominance chart and have a feeling it is about to 'break on through' as The Doors would say 😂 Which means most (probably all) alts will lose value compared BTC.
Just sent you a message in Discord and tried to call you but here's what the process is:
Step 1: Create a lightning invoice for an amount of sats on Muun. I normally have the USD currency showing on Muun when doing this because peakd has everything in USD so it's easier to work out. As V4Vapp takes a cut/fee, you have to make the invoice a little less in USD value to compensate.
Step 2: Copy and paste the lightning invoice into the lnv4v website text box and it will tell you what you need in HIVE or HBD.
Step 3: If you have enough HIVE or HBD in your Hive account, you can then go through the process of sending the transaction via hivesigner
There is a limit of 500,000 sats I think (0.005 BTC) per invoice and you have a limit on how much you can move around between Hive and lightning in a certain time period - there's more info on this post about fees and limits.
I'm not sure if there is a video or tutorial already on @v4vapp profile or if @brianoflondon has one - if you need more help, let me know. I've been using it for a while and
Cheers buddy. I saw your step-by on discord first.
But thanks for taking the time 👍
Hi there Raj,
Muun has some limits on transaction sizes and I think you're running into these. You should probably stick to transactions below 200k sats or 250k sats max.
Muun is a relatively good way to convert Lightning into Bitcoin on chain but as a Lightning wallet it is a bit troublesome.
Your first attempt to use the system should have worked but I think Muun rejected the transaction for being too big.
Ha ha, hi @brianoflondon I wondered if you might have noticed I was bashing my head against a brick wall, figuratively of course 😂 Even with the help of a long-time blockchain friend
@nickyhavey
I keep getting 'Something went wrong with paying the Lightning Invoice: no_route' error. So if I try once more with 0.00000200 BTC maybe it will work? That is around $0.05. I was hoping to remove a fair chunk of hive into BTC via lightning as I believe that the bitcoin dominance chart is ready to break resistance and wanted to take advantage of saving value against the HIVE/BTC pairing.
Also, I have been using the Keychain option as I prefer keychain, But I do have Hivesigner, could this be the problem?
I know keychain was doing something technical (an update I think) last week which caused it to run very slowly.
I might try one more time fingers crossed 🤞
The other problem is that if I send such a small amount 200 sats, it will be eaten up by your fee, which is a very fair fee, don't get me wrong, but it makes it kinda pointless for me to convert such a small amount via @v4vapp.
Any suggestions on better wallets that might not cause this problem?
Sorry, I meant 200,000 to 250,000 sats which is more than $100 worth. Muun does seem to refuse much larger than that.
I use Hive Keychain both in the app browser and on my main machine.
I've already tried $100 worth, and then on the advice of Nicky tried $60 worth, No joy either time. I'm flumoxed tbh.
Hmmmm I have a wide open channel to Muun and send funds there pretty regularly for other people. I have 5m sats of liquidity pointing to Muun but I know they have internal limits.
Can you try setting up a Wallet of Satoshi account sending there and then sending on to Muun?
I'll get on to that suggestion tomorrow if the transaction I've just sent returns with an error again.
Thanks for taking the time to help. It is appreciated 👍🙂
Unfortunately most recent transaction didn't send the invoice:

I'm refunding it now.
@raj808 @brianoflondon
Hi guys, I just tried doing a lightning transaction for 3 HBD to Muun lightning and it worked first time, no problem for me.
Make sure that you are copying in a lightning invoice from the lightning tab of Muun (it defaults to Bitcoin mainchain QR code/address) and paste that in to lnd.v4v website.
I can't remember doing a bigger transaction than 100k sats with Muun and have never had a problem.
Hope you get it to work tomorrow Raj808
I just managed to do a successful transaction @brianoflondon + @nickyhavey
Thanks for the help by the way. I was using an old version of v4v and also I took the shields down on Brave browser for the lnd.v4v website... and it worked fine.
Now to see if it will accept a larger transaction 😂
P.s. Munn wallet doesn't seem to like anything bigger than 200000 sat (about $55 worth currently) transactions as when I tried a larger one it failed.
I have to say though, the fees seem massive compared to what was advertised. I managed to use v4v to sell four chunks of hive = 615.4 hive in total ($246.7) converted and moved via lightening to 800,000 sats (worth roughly $222.86), and I have got a final refund of 11.078 hive ($4.38) so I've paid $ equivalent of $19.46. It seems like the fee structure isn't really any better than using BTC main chain.
I've said all along that this is not a competitive or cost effective way of doing large Hive to BTC transactions.
Lightning is a separate way of transacting linked back to the BTC chain. But every time you move funds into or out of Lightning, somewhere there is a main chain BTC transaction with the necessary fees.
Muun in particular is a very expensive lightning wallet to use because it's not really a Lightning wallet. When I send Lightning to Muun, even though I have a direct channel to their node (i.e. that first hop to them is without a fee), they then move the lightning into a one time use only node and charge I think 1200 ppm or 1.2% fee for the second hop (which is INTERNAL to Muun's systems).
Strangely even though you sent 4x200k to Muun to the same wallet, each destination was different. I only see this behaviour with Muun. Bridging that Lightning back out to Bitcoin, Muun will have taken more fees from you.
Lightning works best for things you can spend Lightning on and for keeping it inside the Lightning eco system, moving in and out (which is something I have to do to keep my service running) is a technical and financial pain point with Lightning.
Ok, this explains things somewhat.
I'm thinking I should have looked closer (researched better) and maybe used Wallet of satoshi, or bridged hive out through another route and into my Ledger. I'm hoping this doesn't mean that Muun will now charge me a bitcoin main chain transaction charge whenever I want to send a Lightning transaction from their wallet.
but... sht happens I suppose.
