I Just Want To Keep Going.

On getting to my shop yesterday, I prayed which is the first thing I always do when I get to the shop in the morning. After praying, I always shade out some of my goods which is just to create an awareness to people that I’m selling groceries. A lot of people always tell me that they never knew I seek groceries and some of them even say that my shop looks like a pharmacy and I don’t know how. I think that is the reason why I’ve been having one set of customers and some other bigger customers did not branch into my shop to at least take a look of what I’m selling.

I then noticed something. Ever since I’ve been shading very well to make it obvious, my sales has improved. I have been making so much sales and I even sell goods more than $100 in a day compared to the Nigerian economy but it was different yesterday.
I got to shop as usual everyday and I even went as far as going to the market so I will make sure that I have everything that my customers may be asking for just to satisfy them but would you believe what happened? I didn’t really make sales that yesterday and I was really sad.

I don’t know if you are the type who feels bad that you get to the shop and you don’t make sales. I began to count the money I have made and it was not even up to $10. Due to that, I became very sad and angry and I am someone who love to listen to music whenever I’m sad so instead of getting too annoyed yesterday just because I didn’t make sales as usual, I chose to start playing some songs that could keep me going.

I discovered Fearless Soul yesterday and she’s really amazing. After I asked my friend to recommend to me a song yesterday, she sent this and I fell in love with the song immediately.
In the song, there are parts where the artiste mentioned that it doesn’t matter how many times she falls, she will always rise again and get back strong. It also gave me an idea or brain to think that we cannot always sell everyday. There are days when the business will not be smiling so we just have to accept it like that.
Not making sales is part of business.

Well, that was not the only song I listened to yesterday. I was able to discover some great tunes that fits my mood yesterday on YouTube.

Eminem made this song and it’s just like a very perfect one. and truly, I’m not afraid of whatever comes my way in this business so I just have to keep going.

I listened to these two songs throughout yesterday and they made my day. Music is therapeutic and if you ever feel like you’re not in a good mood, just listen to music that fits your mood.

While doing my initial research, I was surprised to learn that the minimum wage in Nigeria is around 39 USD per month. Is it correct?
