Fun Facts : The Rings on 3.5 headphone Pinout jack.
I am sure many of us have used the wired headphone. May be once or many a times. Either in mobile or laptop or listening to some other device. But I am sure what I am sharing today, hardly anybody knows about it. I am talking about the three black rings (some has white or red too) that we see in the pinout area. The part of headphone which connects to the device.
We are always in a hurry, and never focus on these minute things in our day to day life. But it excited me when I get to know about it.
Usually, there are not always 3 rings in escery pinout. Some has 1 ring, some have 2 and many have 3 rings. All these specification denotes a some spef8c quality of the headphone. Let see how each of them differs from one another.
1 Rings: it refers to the "Mono" quality of the speakers. It means you will get identical volume on both the ear pieces.
2 Rings: it denotes, "Stereo" quality of the headphone. It makes the listening more I threshing with variable sounds. Kind of surround sound system.
3 Rings: it refers to the "Mic" system of the headphone. While the first two rings in a 3 rings jack, denotes the stereo quality, the third one denotes the availability of Mic. It means you talk using the headphone.
I am sure, nobody every wonder about it, as we always in a hurry to plug in and lost in our favourite Playlist. Make sure next time you get the best of them to make your music more entertaining.
