Space Whales, Blog, New Digital Art and Photography, Revisited Poetry
Yesterday was Family Day where I live. Minime and I walked across the bridge to gain free entry into the Museum of Vancouver and followed up with a visit to the HR MacMillian Space Center.
It was busy. Really busy. Long line for most of exhibits. Not a huge deal for us. We've been many times. Ground Station Canada featured a lecture on exoplanets and just a touch of fire.
The hi-light of any visit is one upstairs and to the planetarium and virtual trip through the inner solar system out to Saturn and then back to Mars.
Sitting in the dark with the universe above is transportive, dreamy and calming. I really should do it more often.
White Whale
The white whale, a ghost upon la Mar Corazon
Armed with harpoons, forged by Eros, honed by Mars
Lulling the swimmer to sleep with its song
Drowning with the immensity of its wake
Turning depths from calm to tempest to icy doldrums
Once felt, the white whale won’t be forgotten
Water-logged with longing or barnacled with hate
Alas, just like Ahab, you have no choice but to follow
A maritime will-o-wisp, shifting, submerging
A phantom on a silvery, sinking horizon
The white whale, glimpsed by those who can but gaze
Offered, but like a fist full of brine, forever out of reach
Finally getting around to watching the last season of Walking Dead. Authoritarianism seems to be on the mind of many. Appears that even a zombie apocalypse is no guarantee of escaping the grasp of governmental overreach. Well my money is with Daryl and company and their ability to set things right and free his people from tyranny.
Beautiful 😍
So much beautiful and attractive flower and photography.
Thank you:)
I also do like a visit to the planetarium. The nearest to me is up in Philadelphia, which I do not get to enough.
Sounds like you had a really nice day!
Happy family day! Wonderful images and poetry once again.
Thank you:)
Thanks for the reminder about The Walking Dead. I've been meaning to watch the final season even though I'm kinda zombied out on the series. Too many years watching so I need a conclusion. I hope it's a memorable one.
I am about half way through the season. So far it is not the best but not the worse either. Some nice interactions between Maggie and Negan though.
Wao very great and wonderful photography. I really like it.
Always with your striking and exquisite chromatic metaphors, and exact contents.
Thank you:)
