Happy weekend in the Hive Open Mic Community 🎤 It's Princessbusayo here to present a cover song relating to the week's theme titled "Grateful". I did a cover of the song
"Gratitude"

If there's only one thing I am grateful for in this year 2023, it is being alive, because if I wasn't, I wouldn't have experienced all I did experience. I wouldn't have cried, wiped my face and said to myself "All is well". I wouldn't have failed, got up, learned from my lessons and moved on. I wouldn't have met friends, some who were sweet and others who were mean and along the line, left. I wouldn't have been on Hive, learning things every day while building my account, etc. There are a lot of things I wouldn't be able to do if I wasn't alive and that is something I appreciate the giver of life for.

I looked through the whole year and realized how merciful God has been to me and how loving He has embraced me in His arms while assuring me that He is always with me, and wherever I go, He is there to guide me. I wouldn't have been able to enjoy a lot of things I have and been to places where I had the best moment, especially one I had with my sister months ago.

Throughout the 12 months of the year, I could look back and see a lot of changes in me and I am so glad not to leave anything behind especially some opportunities that came my way, through the help of friends and family, I was able to achieve them. The year will end in a few days and I am hoping that the new year brings amazing things to our path.

This is why I am tuning in to a wonderful song of gratitude which is one I love to listen to whenever I am in the mood of thanking God Almighty. I had to present this song for this edition and it makes me glad to do that as the year is coming to an end just for me to appreciate God for all His benefits in my life.

The truth is, all my words fall short, I've got nothing new and how could I express my gratitude to Him? All I have to do is throw my hands up in the air, cause all I've got is a Halleluyah that God fought for me all through, made me win some of life's battles and gave me songs of praises which have filled my mouth.

This is a beautiful song that will make one think of God's goodness while showing gratitude for everything in their lives. Brandon Lake is a good singer and I could see how grateful He is while showing a heart of joy to God. I hope this song makes you dwell on the faithfulness of God and give Him what He deserves.

I loved listening to you dear. I enjoyed the tone of voice, which is nostalgic and at the same time endearing. I congratulate you for such a beautiful interpretation. The word Hallelujah means “praise the Lord God.” Without a doubt, it has great meaning in this time in which we remember his miraculous birth, his life and his love for us.
