Johann Sebastian Bach (?), Ach, was soll ich Sünder machen (Emans 19)

Among the many many compositions that may or may not have been written by Johann Sebastian Bach, is the little choral partita "Ach, was soll ich Sünder machen". It features a four part setting of the choral, followed by three variations, that have the choral melody in the bass voice,m the tenor voice and the bass voice respectively. The authorship of Bach is dubious. The music might just as well have been written by Johann Heinrich Buttstett, or by Andreas Nicolaus Vetter. Whoever wrote it, it is a charming little partita.

Hello hello! It always makes me happy when I match any of your videos for Hive. Happy Sunday! I understand what you are saying, I think Bach is credited with a lot of music, but somehow it sounds a lot like his musical works. On the organ the music sounds so beautiful, around here we are rarely accompanied by this musical instrument, but when we do it is one of the best experiences. Happy to hear you today, really 🙏
