Johann Christoph Oley, O Jesu du mein Bräutigam
The choral "O jesu du mein Bräutigam" has the same melody as the choral "Herr Jesu Christ, meins Lebens Licht". Oley writes a manualiter piece with the choral melody in canon between the soprano and the tenor voice. The canon is very strictly maintained, even where harmonically it doesn't fit very nicely. However, with a forte registration, the overal effect is quite nice. I play the end a bit differently than Oley wrote it. Where Oley write one small chord in the upper region, I thought it better to close the piece with a full chord and play some bassnotes as well. Hopefully, Oley will forgive me for this.
The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sample set of the Holzey organ of St. Peter and Paul in Weissenau by Prospectum (https://www.prospectum.com/index.php?language=english&id1=2&id2=9).

I'd always love to listen a music coming from that instrument. It is very relaxing.
